Lacto-ovo Hong Kong style vegetarian food. Marking of dishes on the menu with egg / milk dishes has errors; vegans should always ask. Open Mon-Sun 12:00pm-10:00pm.

Fantastic Chinese restaurant incl. vegan sushi rolls! - Edit
Fairly easy to locate. Every time I’ve been there, there has been one waiter that speaks English.
Read moreThey now have a full English menu. Their menu marks dishes with egg, and you should let them know you are vegan when ordering.
I give this five stars because I’ve loved the food every time I’ve visited, and prices are reasonable. Have tried the following and would order them all again!
- mango rolls and avocado rolls
- vegan lamb skewers with a satay sauce
- Dumplings in Sichuan sauce and vinegar
- noodles in XO sauce
- spicy Sichuan pot
- mapo tofu
Note tea charge of HKD8 per person. It’s a nice green tea with roasted rice.
The restaurant is comfortable but the tables are all in one line sort of like a corridor so it has a bit of a cramped feel.

// 金湯蟹黃翅 $42/盅(碗) //

// 廚師發辦手握壽司 $138 //

// 避風塘脆鱔絲 $88 //

// 冬陰功海鮮湯烏冬 $78 //

Good quality Chinese food - Edit
Most of the menu is vegetarian but there are many vegan options too. We loved the lamb satay skewers, chilli dumplings and avocado sushi. The Sichuan potato dish was fairly average and I wouldn't recommend it. Service, decor and price are all excellent. Would definitely go back.

Nice gem - Edit
This place has an English menu and staff who can speak English. The food is some of the best I've tasted in Hong Kong. I think in general Hong Kong vegetarian offerings are very light on flavour but the things we ordered packed a flavour punch. The Taiwanese buns, and "chicken" vegetable hot pot, which was more like a clay pot. Service was polite and good. There is a service charge and small fee for the tea.

Not great - Edit
On the 1st floor of the building, take the elevator up. It has an extensive vegetarian menu, however the food is so so. Service is borderline rude, they would take away your plate with still food on it.

Tasty japanese style food - Edit
The food here was delicious. The menu was clearly marked with a dairy or egg icon, which made it helpful for me to choose vegan options. The sushi dishes were our favourite. The food was quick, fresh and most importantly FULL of flavour. Staff were friendly and the restaurant has nice vibes. Loved it.

Perfect - Edit
Wonderful food. I've been here a couple of times and will definitely be back. Staff are all English speaking. Service is efficient. Prices are reasonable. Times I've been they only had a special New Years menu available which was not in English like their standard menu. Everything I tried was fantastic. Looking around at other diners meals, they all looked to the same high standard. No complaints, 10/10 :)

Good food, good understanding of veganism - Edit
Chinese vegetarian restaurant. The staff speak good English and have a good understanding of veganism and some of the dishes marked with eggs can be done without. The Sichuan “beef” soup is very good.

Amazing restaurant! Best veggie place in South East Asia - Edit
A little difficult to find look for number 10 Pratt street then head up the lift to the 1st floor. They have completly sorted the egg issue from the previous review. They were very sensitive to this and asked us specifically if we ate eggs. The sushi was amazing veggie avocado rolls were just so good We loved it so much we returned twice!

Tong De Veggie, Hong Kong - Edit
I ate here on Wednesday during the launch week. They have an issue to fix. The menu has errors with the dishes marked as containing egg / milk. Vegans should thus always ask. My Cantonese speaking co-diner suggested to them they get some stickers to fix this. The manager indicated that he would do so but talk is cheap. I'll follow up on this and update this info if that does get fixed.
Read moreThe menu seems heavily geared towards lacto-ovo. The manager is a nice guy named James who said egg / dairy free can be accommodated. The food we had was tasty.
Cons: Menu has errors re dishes with egg / dairy
