Fab food - Edit
Great location by the side of the canal. I could have eaten everything on the menu.... but decided to have the grilled vegetable torta with black bean spread. It was served with tortilla crisps and salad with a delicious dressing. OH had the black bean stew which was also delicious. Everything is plant based & very well presented. Felt very covid friendly with tables spaced well apart. Free WiFi (from museum)

The best in town - Edit
My philosophy on food has for along time now been about flavour. As a meat eater I have to say 100% hand on heart, there isn't another diner/cafe/restaurant I'd rather visit. The staff are friendly, the location is lovely and the food is by far the tastiest I've had in a long time. Vegan or not this is the place to lunch in Banbury.

Great vegan food! - Edit
Fully vegan cafe with lunch options. Have been twice recently and enjoyed the lunch menu on the first trip as a recce for an upcoming brunch with friends. The were happy for us to book a large brunch platter for 6 in advance (not on the normal menu due to covid) which contained; Tofu scramble, sausages, tamari mushrooms, roasted vine tomatoes, mini roasted potatoes and bbq beans.

Lovely lunch - Edit
Delicious lunch with friends today! They have a themed menu, I think it varies a weekly, this week was inspired by New England. I had the “Campbell’s” mushroom soup which was outstanding. Delicious, savoury, slightly peppery and so creamy. I need the recipe! The bread was gluten free, which admittedly is not my preference but it was a perfectly good sub for wheat bread. I also had the “lobstah” roll which were palm hearts in Marie rose. Very pleasant. I actually added some of my slaw and salad to the sub and it was so good. I finished with the rocky road which was DELICIOUS.
Read moreMy friends had a cheese platter which was huge and very beautifully done. I think it was six cheeses (see pics) plus bread crackers pretzels olives grapes strawberries and spring onion.
Very impressed.
Also, Felt really safe on the premises and the staff are so friendly, we were even able to pick our favourite background music ❤️
Handy location near the canal, very spacious, clean and modern.
Excellent all round, thank you.
Pros: Perfect plant based food, Friendly efficient staff, Safe accessible and clean pleasant dining area

My favourite vegan place in Banbury - Edit
Really nice all vegan diner. Conveniently situation in the museum in the castle quay shopping centre. Plenty of reasonably priced options and I fully intend to try all of it over the next few weeks! Seating area overlooking the canal and you can sit outside when the weather is good. Highlights so far are the soup, build your own brunch, mac n cheese and chilli dog. Perfect to rest and refresh, and you should take a look around the museum

Best lunch or coffee spot in Banbury! - Edit
Such an amazing place for breakfast/ lunch or some coffee in Banbury! I love that it's plant based, gluten and nut free- so you can bring everyone with you and share a meal without worrying. Staff is so willing to help you + all the food is so tasty and fresh. Cakes are wonderful and there is the best in Banbury choice of herbal teas. They really care here about customers, animals and environment. You can watch boats passing by and people walking why the canal. There is also choice of sitting outside. It's kids and dogs friendly as well. If you are in the area definitely check them out!

Awesome food, awesome setting, excellent value - Edit
We were so pleased to find this place (directions below).
Read moreEveryone who works there is totally lovely and they really care about what they are doing which shows in the quality of the whole place.
We had a feast of everything on the build-your-own meal and it was supremely delicious. We were also so excited to find it was dog friendly! We had a giant mocha each and they supply free large bottles of drinking water which literally is the icing on the cake. We hadnt eaten till we got there for lunch and we were'nt dissapointed. Everything was hot, well cooked and yummmmm! Will deffo be going back to try everything on the rest of the menu (they have chilli dogs and massive chocolate cakes).
It's also such a nice setting by the canal, plenty to watch and chill, outdoor seating for summer too and could it do with support as it really is a special place!
Go there now! ;•)
Directions:
Trust the satnav when it takes you there, you go through the doors to the museum and take a right before the front desk.
You can go down the outdoor steps and along the towpath of the canal if you have a dog.
Pros: Totally vegan, Allows dogs

In every sense a perfectly normal restaurant offering everything you would normally expect; the only difference is that you can have anything on the menu rather than just the one vegan option you are usually stuck. This is a vegan restaurant run by vegans,

Very happy of Banbury - Edit
I have just had brunch at Tom's Diner and I can honestly say that it was delicious. The tofu scramble was utterly scrumptious, the helping was very generous, the mushrooms, the potatoes, the smoked beans and spinach were absolutely incredible. This was washed down with two cups of builders tea which was very nice. The heating was on, nice and cosy, as it was freezing outside. Bottles of water are available, no need to ask. The service was impecable. Afterwards I was very full and satisfied and would highly recommend this to anyone, so please go along and see for yourself, this jewel of Banbury.

Hi Saira, thanks for stopping by and for writing this review. Aw, we are so sorry we didn't have pancakes on the menu when you visited. We are working hard to recruit a full kitchen team so that we can offer more choice at the same time. Let us know when you are coming next time and we will make sure we have some prepped!?
