Great Food and service

We both had Bento Boxes, one Tofu one Vegetable, both were really tasty and great portion size and fairly priced. Staff were attentive and food arrived quickly. Will definitely visit again next time on Skye.

Pros: Great food, Good selection, Friendly staff

Cons: Not obvious from street, bit of hidden gem

Japanese

After a walk through the Quiraing we drove to Portree to have a delicious meal in this Japanese restaurant.
Several options on the menu, ask the waitress for further explanation to be sure it is vegan
Tasty dishes, friendly service!

Pros: Tasty vegan dishes, Good price/quality ratio, Friendly staff

Food poisoning

I got food poisoning here. Had sweet potato starter and tofu teriyaki main. All tasted very inauthentic, slimy and unpleasant. Prices were incredibly high, and to top it off I was vomiting hours afterwards. They have am awful food hygiene rating. Don’t go here.

Average Food

The food was adequate but very overpriced. Service was good. Ambiance was very cute. Grateful for several vegan options in this small town!

Delicious!

Apparently they are now Tomita Japanese. No sushi menu? Anyway, many options. I had the tofu bento and it came with miso soup. Very generous portions. Excellent taste and presentation.

Pros: Many vegan options

Cons: Cash only requested, 2nd floor, steep stairs

Japan in Skye

Many vegan options, all clearly labeled. I had the vegan spicy Raman and it was just like being in Japan. My wife had the big tofu bento box and she loved it! Server identified us as vegans after we ordered the starter and one dish.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Great location

Most Depressing Ramen

Venue: Very central in Portree
Service: The woman was rude and quick on the phone, and in person she barely looked at me or smiled and seemed to be keen to get me out of the restaurant as fast as she could.
Food: £15. An OK portion of incredibly bland, depressing vegetable "ramen". The "miso" looked like milk it was so pale and watered down. Hardly any flavour except in the onions.

Honestly, I wish I'd gone elsewhere.

Pros: Location

Cons: Service, Bland Food, Expensive

So good we came back twice in one trip!

Amazing little place for a takeaway! Plenty of clearly marked vegan choices, a little expensive but very delicious. The K-cup is a good size and has rice included so is a great sized meal on its own with no side required. The salt and pepper chips were delicious! We enjoyed our takeaway so much we came back and had another a couple days later.

Pros: Lots of clearly marked vegan options , Amazing quality , Big portions

Cons: A bit expensive

Some decent vegan Japanese options

Had the spicy veg ramen, some gyoza and some sushi which were all very tasty. For some reason it is WAY cheaper to order online than it is to sit and eat. Our ramen was ~£8 online but ~£17 to eat in - I don't understand why.. There's lots of things clearly labelled as vegetarian or vegan, although we noticed some differences between the labelling online and on the door. By Portree standards it's still very good.

Pros: Lots of vegan options clearly marked , Cheap if ordered online for takeaway

Cons: Ridiculously expensive to eat-in
