Huge portions - Edit
The falafel pitta was nice, not the best I’ve ever had but the full size was enormous! Unless you’re really hungry I would go for the half portion. However the highlight here are the yuca and sweet potato fries - again a generous portion and they are so tasty

Avoid the spring roll - Edit
Food was decent generally. We were a group of six, and everyone enjoyed their meals. However, the vegetable spring roll was almost unchewable, and so I'd recommend against ordering it.

Delicious and different - Edit
The food was delicious and the taste of it was something new for me. The portion is filling but doesn’t overfills you. 😊 But it’s definitely not my favorite place to go to for vegan food in antigua.

Just OK 🤷🏼♀️ - Edit
I tried the falafel pita (37Q), which was tasty, but lacked some flavour in my opinion despite the salsas it comes with. The 1/2 portion is more then enough unless you have a big appetite. :)

Delicious Veg Options - Edit
Great food and prices. Worth a visit for sure. Not fancy, just good food! I liked the half a sandwich options when I wanted to just try a meal out.

Great lunch, great price, fast service - Edit
Sometimes meals in Antigua can be quite slow. Here you get a fast, filling, fresh and tasty lunch at a great price. I had the korma, which was stuffed into a pita with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. Yum!

Best value food - Edit
I’ve eaten here 5 or 6 times in 3 days, even if just for the amazing price-size-taste.

I’ve tried almost the whole menu by now, and I didn’t like some of the things I had so much. Still, I keep coming back for the great value. I’ve heard the owner is a Dutchman, but haven’t met him unfortunately.
Antigua is an expensive place, especially for veggies, but Toko Baru comes to the rescue!
Also definitely get the Tamarinde as your beverage, it’s amazing!
Pros: Cheap, Sizable meals, No long wait for the food
Cons: Some things are less tasty, Not vegan labeled

5 star Vegie Munch - Edit
This cosy place sells some of the tastiest food you will find! Falafels, kofta and sabij are all out of this world and for 34q for a huge portion, it's a vegie dreamland.

cheap food big portions - Edit
This place was a great option for cheap eats. I had the falafel dish and the portion was huge - could have easily gone with half portion. The meal was tasty though although could have given more hummus with the portion.

Yummy 😋 - Edit
We arrived and the place was packed, waited a little while for a table and placed our order which arrived very quickly. I love curry but sadly they had no vegetarian ones. My friend ordered a chicken curry and loved it I order a half portion of falafel and half kofta, both delicious. The fresh pitta bread was soft and the homemade accompaniments were delicious. I would have given 5 stars if they had a veggie/vegan curry.

worst meal in Antigua - Edit
I guess I should have gotten the falafel. I ordered some eggplant dish and it was horrible and tasteless. I couldn't even eat half of it. The staff was nice and prices decent but don't get the eggplant dish!

Loved Toku Baru so much! - Edit
Loved Toku Baru so much! Cheapest food in Antigua and probably the most delicious too. Get the falafel and the lentil dahl.

International cuisine lots of veg options. - Edit
We had their felafel and it was delicious, a generous serving if felafel in wholemeal pita with salad. The hummus was a bit strange; they seem to have their own way of doing hummus in Guatemala - dry and garlicky and not much of it, but it was still yummy. They also have a lot of Indian and Thai curries in the menu.
