A for Effort

I identified this restaurant using Happy Cow. It’s located on a beautiful street running near Fudan University lined with trees, restaurants and cafes. Location, and some nice outdoor tables, are the best thing about Togo Tacos. The food was, well, OK. Essentially all items- tacos, burritos, etc.- can be made vegetarian by swapping in avocado for meat. As a vegan, I had to further remind them not to add cheese and cream (it was clear the staff didn’t understand what “vegan” or “纯素” meant… and they came away thinking I’m allergic to dairy, which is fine). At least the service was prompt and the food cheap.
