Very expensive, but it's an experience

The garden and the restaurant are absolutely beautiful. They treat you as a VIP, spacious space and just for this feeling it's great.
But like other said, it's overpriced. Even water is not free. 1300 yen a bottle of water. 2200 a mango juice. And some luxury tea are even 20k yens.
The food is sometimes good and sometimes not so good. But like I said it's an experience. This is clearly a place for business lunch or dinner. I regret they don't even provide a glass of tap water even if you request it.

Perfection 👌

Expensive, but totally worth it!!
The vegan course was 18000 yen per person. Especially recommended if you are only visiting Japan and are looking for a full authentic Japanese dining experience.
Food, service, location, all in all, a perfect experience. I would give 5 stars if I could.

A feast for the eyes and the mouth

Eating a vegan kaiseki course at Tofuya Ukai was a wonderful experience, both for the restaurant’s atmosphere and the food per se. The restaurant is close to the Tokyo tower, has a gorgeous Japanese garden and private rooms at 1st and 2nd floor. Every room is slightly different (low tables, high tables, horigotatsu, irori etc), but all of them have tatami floors and traditional Japanese decorations. Our room was stunning, with a wonderful view of the Japanese garden and horigotatsu table. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff very kind and professional.
If you crave for an authentic Japanese experience try Tofuya Ukai! It’s very expensive, but totally worth it.
Reservations are required, remember to specify that you are vegan when you book a course menu.

Pros: Atmosphere , Kaiseki food, Private room with garden view

Cons: Very expensive
