Best fully vegan authentic Chinese restaurant - Edit
The best fully vegan authentic Chinese restaurant, great selection of dishes - would advise booking ahead as this place is popular!

OK, not great - Edit
Found the dishes very standard in taste, nothing sophisticated, and much much too oily. For their prices I expected a more unique experience rather than a vegan version of a 1980s Chinese fast food counter.

Top top Chinese food - Edit
This restaurant is fantastic. I can't believe it's taken so long to find it existed. Choice is extensive. There is a separate gluten free menu that my daughter loved. The food is absolutely incredible. And the staff were very friendly and attentive. Only downside is it felt pretty expensive so cost quite a bit for a family of four.

I went for dinner, it was crowded but they found me a table and it was really good, tasteful, a little spicy because I ask it, everything is vegan and there is a lot of plates on the menu!

It was busy, and we had to wait to get seated, but that was on us. The wait staff was really good with communication!

Amazing flavours and quality - Edit
Ate here this evening, was super busy and they were fully booked but they managed to squeese me in. But when go back I'll reserve a table as the restaurant is really popular.
Read morePrices are expensive but the quality and flavours justify the price, the staff are all lovely too and happy to explain the menu.
I opted for a the house specials, starter of sizzling tofu, followed by wontons in chilli sauce and twice cooked "fish" with special fried rice which cost around £50. Everthing tasted great and arrived at the table promptly.
One year on and this time ordered a delivery. We opted for salt & pepper tofu, main on vegan lamb, special fried rice, sweet and sour tofu and a wonton starter which my bf.
It is pricey but the quality and flavours are well worth it.

Love the food! - Edit
I’ve been a few times and loved every dish apart from one. The waiters noticed I wasn’t eating it and offered to replace it with something else or not charge me for it! I refused for them to take it off the bill as I ordered it and I’m at fault, but they took it off anyway 🥰

it's good but not perfect - Edit
The food is great and quite pricey given the portion. £15 for the fried chicken pieces with 60% of the plate being dried chilli is kinda ridiculous.
Read moreThe dumplings are really good! Although I find it a little misleading that they have a sign in the restaurante saying everything is made fresh daily - which is true with the tofu, but not for a bunch of other stuff probably or I'd be very surprised. I am pretty sure a lot of pre-made asian style meat substitute is used (like the fake fish and asian style cured meat thing). It's also a little too salty for my taste, but that's probably just me, it's always the case with chinese restaurants I find them quite salty. Went there when they first opened and it was really popular and either a queue or booking required. there's another branch now so I guess the hype is over. certainly won't be queueing up for this food.

Perfect vegan Chinese meal - Edit
This isn’t the first time we’ve been to Tofu Vegan.
Read moreIt has been a staple stop for us on our visits to London for the last year or so.
I’ve been vegan for around 5 years now, and it was challenging finding Chinese restaurants that cater well for vegans. I missed having dim sum with my family and all the staples I enjoyed as a kid growing up.
Thank goodness for Tofu Vegan existing because I don’t feel like I miss out on anything anymore.
They have dim sum options, lots of dishes, including ho fun noodles which are my favourite!
It’s easy to get to and the service is great. The staff are attentive and very helpful, always willing to provide recommendations.
I highly recommend visiting Tofu Vegan if you really want to eat a truly authentic vegan Chinese meal.

Fantastic fully vegan restaurant - Edit
Great choice of dishes and pictures on the menu don't give them justice. Definitely ask the waiters if it's your first time there as they have great advice! We were advised to try the "Twice cooked fisc" and steamed buns and it was really mind-blowing!
Read moreWe also had "sizzling tofu in house special sauce" and that was also great!
As dessert we got advised to get the "sweet potato rolls" and they were definitely yummy!
Pros: Fully vegan, Knowledgeable waiters and super friendly
Cons: Must book in advance to be sure to have a place

Tasty but pricey - Edit
This restaurant has been on my list for ages so I was very excited to come here. I went with my partner on Valentine's Day and we loved the cute decor and feel of the restaurant. The menu was extensive and it was difficult to pick what we wanted, it all looked so good!
Read moreWe went for a starter, two hot dishes, dim sum, two refillable rice bowls, a dessert and a glass of wine between us. The food was all tasty – I particularly enjoyed our starter (deep fried tofu with salt and Sichuan pepper) but I wasn't blown away. Our meal was tasty and I enjoyed it but I didn't think it justified the hefty £70 that we paid for it. It may look like we ordered a lot of food for that price but after eating all that I wasn't even that full!
I think it's worth giving this place a try as the food is still good and many of the other reviewers rave about it, so maybe I missed something or ordered the wrong options, but I was just left feeling a little underwhelmed.
Pros: Tasty food, Extensive menu, Super efficient service
Cons: Expensive

Delicious...Mouth watering food! - Edit
Best vegan Asian food I have experienced in London. Amazing flavours and textures, such a treat, perfect!
Read moreSo looking forward to returning here for a quiet relaxed family birthday lunch. Food was absolutely delicious as expected and didn’t disappoint. Everyone really enjoyed the food.
Had noticed that service very efficient with removing our plates, which was fine, as a small group of us and we had ordered lots of dishes, space was good. What was disappointing was that even though we had loads of time in our dinning slot left to have the tea they had forgotten, when we asked if we could have drinks ( as our unasked for bill arrived)we were told by our server that we didn’t have time! I have never ever experienced this before. We all sat there quietly stunned. The time it took to point this out and try and negotiate extra time it was not worth staying. Customers shouldn’t be put in this situation. Not nice.

Got lots of recommendations to go here and was not disappointed. Wasn't quite sure from the menu we were ordering but everything was tasty, so I don't think it matters what you get. Would love to go back to try more. Love that the rice is free refills.

Go here! - Edit
Is this place real?! It was so great, amazing service, delicious food, chilled vibes. We enjoyed the wontons, ‘fisc’ in bao, Gong Bao mushrooms and rice. All of the food was delicious, and the lady serving us was so friendly and offered lots of suggestions. It is a little pricy, our meal with a tea and a beer and service came to almost £60. But it’s delicious, all vegan and I’ll definitely be back.

Delicious, authentic, but pricey - Edit
4 of us came to London to watch a West end show, and had booked tofu vegan for an early dinner. My wife and sister in-law are both Chinese, and the food was lovely and very authentic, confirmed by both my wife and sister in law.
Read moreFor 4 of us, we ordered around 7 or 8 dishes and all drank tea. The price came to £144, which is obviously not cheap.
All in all though for a special occasion or treat, its probably worth it. The food was delicious.

Excellent lavours - Edit
I would give this place 5-stars on flavour but the price total was quite high. I have noticed that eating out in the UK is quite expensive to what I am used to back in Canada.
Read moreThe menu was very informative with allergy warnings and items that contained gluten. Very clear.
There were 6 of us and everything was ordered by one person that knew what they were doing. I was very pleased with their selection of dished. The Fried Cauliflower, cloud ear fungus, and the 'fisc' were very tasty.
I liked that they had refillable bowls of rice. I would suggest that a person order fewer dishes and fill up a bit on the rice to save some money. Our order was 28 pounds per person.
I would return if an opportunity presents itself.
Pros: Very tasty, Good space
Cons: Somewhat expensive for me
