The tofu was with peanuts, ginger and chilli in a sweet and sour sauce, also really good.

Tofu Vegan - Edit
I was exhausted after spending all day walking around MCM Comic Con and didn't want to go out to eat, so I looked online for delivery places and found this on Deliveroo. Getting a Chinese takeaway is something I miss since going vegan and vegan food at the takeaways near me is nonexistent so I had to give it a try.
Read moreI had wontons in a spicy sauce, deep fried tofu with salt and pepper and steamed rice. Everything was so full of flavour, I was very impressed. I only wish there was somewhere like it nearer where I live
Pros: All vegan, full of flavour

Delicious! - Edit
I brought some colleagues here for a work dinner and the meal was a hit. To share we ordered quite a few dishes, the favorites were the deep fried tofu starter, wontons in house sauce, assorted dim sum, and the pumpkin lantern and sweet potato roll desserts. The restaurant is loud and busy, our drinks never came nor the steamed buns we ordered but it wasn't a big deal. The food was flavorful and reasonably priced. Definitely book ahead, every table was full.

Delicious food - Chaotic Service - Edit
The food here is delicious and on the surface this appears to be a calmer restaurant than the Islington branch - it certainly feels more spacious.
Read moreHowever, our last two visits have been so chaotic that I would struggle to return. On this occasion we decided to come on a Sunday in the hope that our previously poor experience would not be repeated (again our order was incorrectly taken). However, tonight we were served parts of our main course forty five minutes before the rest. Orders were not written down and our noodles - after multiple reminders - were served to us when what little food we had left was cold. We were told we had not ordered the noodles half an hour into our meal (we had) so re-ordered them, but were then told again ten minutes later that the noodles had still not been ordered.
We received apologies and the offer of a whisky each (we didn’t accept - this is the last thing either of us wanted) but ultimately our experience here is that of stressful evenings trying to flag people down to get the food that we have ordered two and sometimes three times already.
The staff are friendly and the food is great - but our bill tonight was £113 (including a bottle of wine)For that I also expect a decent experience.

Best Chinese food in town - Edit
Absolutely brilliant food - everyone I’ve taken there has loved it including some asian foodies. It’s definitely a bit more pricey but well worth it in my opinion. The staff is really friendly too.

My first visit to the new Spitalfields location. The food again was just delicious, polite stuff and great location. Only it’s bit too pricey. 2 starter, 2mains, 2aides and one portion of dim sum, bottle of sparkling water £75
Read moreStarters - shredder oyster mushrooms- 10/10
Men and wife slices - cold tofu and “salami” slices in chilli oil, not much of my thing but it’s ok
Mains - Fisc - with the lotus leaf bun as side 10/10
Kimchi chckn and tofu stew - very good
Assorted dim sum - 10/10
I think it’s good to come in bigger group and get as many plates as possible to try:)

A bad experience - Edit
Its a simple premise that if you book a table for a given time you expect your table to be available when you arrive. We arrived at the time we had booked to be told that our table was not available despite the fact that we could see at least two empty tables and we were asked to wait. So there we stood in the entrance to the restaurant and waited and while we waited another party arrived and were duly shown to one the empty tables which was galling to say the least.
Read moreAfter ten minutes we then found ourselves ushered to the end of a large table (there was only three of us and this table sat eight) which had remained empty with all the places set all the time we were standing waiting. Now here I should add that when I eat out I really don't like sharing tables with other parties and avoid places like Wagamama because of this, so of course the inevitable happened and not long after we were sat down a party of four was sat at the remaining spaces on our table,
So first impressions were far from favourable to say the least. Our waiter was very friendly and the service reasonable,
Now for another gripe. The menu specifically lists some items as starters which gives you the impression that these will be served first and then when finished will be followed by your selection of main courses. This is not the case as basically your food arrives when it suites them and not when you're ready for it so you find yourself still finishing what was described as your starter while your main course goes cold on the table next to you.
The food itself is interesting and varied but if like one of our party you do not like your food too chili hot be careful as red chilis seem to feature in most dishes. We particularly enjoyed the special fried noodles.
As has been mentioned before it is a bit on the pricy side for what it is and given all the hype that this place has received all I can say is that my visit there was disappointing.
Pros: Completely vegan, Varied and interesting menu
Cons: Poor customer service, Overpriced for what it is

Amazing - Edit
I had takeaway from the Spitalfields branch of this 3 store chain. The food was amazing. Excellent Chinese flavours. Not ridiculously oily. Right level of spice for me. I had the wantons (which are often served doused in oil with little chilli, that wasn’t the case here). The mushroom salad was exquisitely delicate, refreshing and slightly searing citric flavour. Can’t wait to eat in the restaurant soon.

Great... - Edit
...but only if you've not been to China. My friend chose this place & I was eager to try vegan Chinese food after coming back from over 5 years in Shanghai. The staff were lovely as I used my extremely limited Mandarin on them. The food was really tasty but honestly not up to the standard I got used to in China, and the prices were a shock to the system.

Flavourful food and excellent staff - Edit
I booked at the last minute. I was going to order the salt and sichuan pepper tofu and the Gong bao chick’n with peanuts but the staff member asked if I’d been before and when I said no, suggested the wontons in a special sauce because otherwise both my dishes would be sweet. (Wontons were cheaper than tofu) The wontons were really good. The sauce and the filling both delicious. I had rice on the side as well. The chick’n peanut dish was again full of flavour. He explained there was a lot of dried chilli and not to eat them, they were there for flavour. I don’t this level of service very useful. The chick’n pieces were good and I really enjoyed it. I had chocolate cake for dessert and a pot of jasmine tea. They weee both very nice.

Amazing food, and beautiful setting. - Edit
We had been looking forward to this since seeing a vegan influencer post about it, i love Chinese food and wanted a nice place to go on a visit. It is a very special place, with amazing food. I ordered the 'mild spice' wantons but when they arrived at the table the waitress warned me they were very spicy- and they were- i picked the chilli flakes off. its a huge shame, but, the noodles were amazing, 'petal leaf buns' delicious, rice was fluffy and nice, sweet and sour pieces was expensive but AMAZING (doesn't come with rice for that price!) We overheard another table have issues with spicy food too. We had our ups and downs here, but the staff were pleasant and....we had a nice day.
