fresh - Edit
The server was knowledgeable about their vegan options and super friendly. Our burritos were fresh but not super flavorful. Really liked their chips and guac.

Tons of options for a great price!! - Edit
Took a friend who was gluten-free out for her birthday and there were TONS of vegan and gluten-free options. We got chips and guacamole, queso, the Tocaya salad with fried maitake mushrooms, and the 3 taco sampler and all were delicious!!! For dessert, we got the churro waffle bites and I could’ve eaten a whole bucket of it.

Lots of vegan and GF options - Edit
I love that they have so many vegan and gluten free options and allow you to customize your meal. I had the taco salad and my husband had a vegan quesadilla. Their guacamole is also delicious.

Fresh, Healthy & Very Vegan Friendly - Edit
Tocaya is a great spot for healthy Mexican inspired dishes like salads, tacos, bowls and more. The majority of their menu is already vegan with the option to add a protein and cheese of your choice. Vegan proteins include Adobo Tofu, vegan picadillo and vegan chicken, while they offer vegan mozzarella and chipotle jack as well.

Protein Bowl (ordered without the scrambled eggs it comes with, substitute extra adobo tofu)
Taco Salad with vegan chicken and vegan mozzarella
Cali Style Tacos with vegan picadillo and vegan chipotle jack. Try them as a butter lettuce wrap for an extra fresh take.

My favorite burritos honestly - Edit
Don't come here looking for super healthy whole food and you'll have a great meal. It's honestly one of my favorites for non-authentic mexican food. It's comfort food 100% and probably one of the best burritos I've ever had. The vegan crema sauce is great on everything. The only thing I had here that I didn't like was a salad. Burritos are my go-to, though and I've never had a bad one here. Service has always been really over the top great. The mint agua fresca is always amazing.

Super vegan friendly - Edit
Surprisingly vegan friendly including the horchata. Kind of expensive tho at $12 for a smallish burrito and $3 for TINY tacos. The HH menu is pretty good with some $2 bites. For the area it’s ok.

Tocaya Organico - Edit
It’s set up so that you can choose what you want (burrito, tacos, bowls, salads, etc) and then you pick the protein and add sides if you want. I got two vegan tacos with vegan beyond meat. The only other options were a gardein Veg chickn and tofu. I can’t eat soy and I don’t especially love eating beyond meat. I wish they had more protein options that weren’t overly processed for vegans. I got a combo with two tacos and a side and a drink. The tea was fine but probably wouldn’t get it again. The side I got was Brussels Sprouts which was labeled vegan on the menu but I was told that it usually comes with cheese and did I want that removed. So be aware that it is mislabeled when you order. My biggest complaint is the veg meat that was on my tacos. When the server brought it out I noticed and told him that it was watery and he did absolutely nothing. He just left and didn’t come back (you order at the counter here so no table service). This was frustrating. The tacos crumbled because of the beyond burger water stuff and it ruined my dinner- the tacos turned into a watery mess. I don’t think I’d go back and I live so close to this location that I was hoping that this could be my new spot. So it was a disappointment. Also I don’t think that One Paseo really knows the population that lives in Del Mar- this is a hip restaurant that is obviously aimed at young people but it’s mostly older people who were in here.
