Limited vegan options, but nice curry! - Edit
This is such a cute restaurant & hostel with an amazing view and cats.😊 The staff is very friendly and helpful to make the food vegan. I had the vegan curry once, which was delicious and for breakfast they made a vegan pancake for me.🫶

Only vegan burger on the island! - Edit
Serves a good mix of food and we had been craving a burger so was a good find. Would have eaten here more often but it was far from our accommodation. Service is really friendly and had live music on a Friday night!

Loved the food here! - Edit
The people in the kitchen understand what it means to eat vegan and they are willing to make every dish vegan (if possible).

Fantastic burger but let down by other options - Edit
We came here a couple of times during our stay on Tioman. It's a cool beach bar with a wide selection of food on the menu.
Read moreThe first time we came we had an omelette and the vegetable fried rice. The omelette was good, but quite small, although it was very cheap so I probably should have expected it. The fried noodles were a bit too salty, even compared to a lot of the fried rice and noodles here which are consistently very salty.
On the second visit we both had the veggie burger, which was phenomenal. The patty was a vegetable patty but very dense so you could get a good bite at it. We were asked whether we would like it to come with cheese and/or egg which is always a good question to hear. It might feel like a cop out having a burger on a tropical island but we didn't mind! I'd definitely recommend it.
Pros: Amazing burger patty
Cons: Very salty fried rice

No vegetarian food on menu - Edit
Plain rice or plain noodles were my choices. I had the plain noodles with egg and it wasn't very good. Sent it back uneaten. Guess they have a different menu for different times.

A little gem. - Edit
Ate the veggie burger two times. Extremely tasty, actually something i haven’t tasted before!!
Read moreHowever the menus labels was quite unclear and they messed up the first time we ordered. So tell them to make it vegan so nothing is unclear. Also try to talk to the chef instead of the waiter, he doesn’t really understand the word vegan unfortunately.
Other than that don’t miss out!
Pros: Very, very tasty., Kind staff., Surfer atmosphere, nice environment.
Cons: The waiter isn’t very good at English., Unclear labels.

Lots of vegetarian options - Edit
This was a 200m walk from our resort, we just happened to see it and walked in. To our delight, they had a lot more vegetarian options than we expected. They had veg: fried rice, noodles, all day breakfast (eggs, pancakes), veggie burger and a rice veggies cooked in certain sauces (you could pick from 5-6 types of sauces). Not too pricey either

Vegan option, which is rare in Tioman - Edit
I spent about a week in Tioman Island and tried to figure out where a vegan could have a meal. Not in many places, I had to conclude unfortunately. Besides the standard rice with vegetables at all food stalls, in Tioman Cabana Bistro they serve a veggie burger. Make sure you verify to make it vegan, if not it comes with egg and dairy. They also have the standard Malaysia rice and noodle dishes, which you can ask to make vegan.
Read moreIt's nothing mind-blowing and quite expensive compared to other eateries on the island, but it might be nice to have some food variation if you're staying on the island for a bit.
TIP: There's another vegan place in ABC right next to the jetty... there they serve hummus sandwiches. I wish I didn't forget the name so I could get it listed, but I'd like to inform my fellow traveling vegans.
