Perfect for a fast bite!

I got takeaway from the buffet to eat on the train, 20 CHF for a delicious and filling meal. Looks like a lovely spacious place to sit in as well.

Good option, especially if you're in a hurry or very hungry!

I've been here twice! Everything is very yummy, lots of options with clearly labeled vegan items and allergens. There's a nice atmosphere overlooking the trains at the station. (Don't forget your free piece of bread that's included ;))

Pros: nice variety , clearly labeled vegan options

Cons: a bit expensive

Just what you'd expect of a Tibits

Everything I tried was tasty and well-labelled, the location in the train station made it easy to get to as a tourist, and filling your stomach is not cheap because it is Switzerland. Worth your time anyway.

Amazing selection!

I went to visit today for lunch and I will definitely be back in the next couple of days. The selection was amazing with all the dishes being easily labelled as to whether or not they were vegan (almost all were) and also gluten, soy, etc was labelled. The labels for the dishes could all be turned over as well to see the English translation which I much appreciated not knowing any German. There was probably 30 options including dessert so you are absolutely spoiled for choice, with a mixture of healthy and not so healthy options. There was a perfect balance of your typical salad, veggie dishes as well as more unhealthy options such as vegan arancini which I absolutely loved. I got a good mixture of everything and it came to 18.40chf. I also went back after I finished my mains because I just had to try the dessert so I got a small plate of a mango baked pudding dish and mocha mousse. I also tried the cashew smoothie drink which was delicious although I do wish it was more flavoured i.e vanilla or cacao. The oat milk latte macchiato was also delicious and probably the best coffee in Luzern. You can also get a bread bun for free with every plate of buffet food and water is free. I highly recommend Tibits, everything is so flavourful and it's a must visit for anyone travelling through Luzern.

Pros: Almost all vegan, So much selection

Cons: gets busy

Vegetarian cafe chain, central location

Vegetarian cafe centrally located in the train station on the top floor.

High quality menus available to take away which lists everything you need to know, most importantly what is vegan! They also had free match boxes to take away.

They were playing light music, there was a nice ambience.

Food was very well labelled in both Swiss German and English.

There was lots of choice.

They also sell books, water bottles, bags, as well as supplying free tap water.

They mostly sell buffet items by weight however I bought mine from the counter; a seitan kebab sandwich and a lemon cake to take away. 11.60 francs (£8.74). The sandwich was absolutely delicious! The first time I’ve tried seitan, I can see why it’s so popular. Would definitely have it again! The cake was edible, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Perhaps the vegetarian desserts are better there was much more choice compared to the one vegan cake.

Pros: Central location , Clearly labelled , Vegan cake available

Cons: Not fully vegan

Great vegan options, very convenient

This place is open for all meals at the most central location in Lucerne, we went three times in our short stay because the variety of vegan options was so good and changed at each meal. As buffets go, the quality was very good. It is a pay by weight place but after eating at a couple of al a carte restaurants, we found Tibits to be good value for Switzerland. This place was such a nice surprise as there are not many vegan friendly places in Lucerne and the only vegan restaurant was shut for the Christmas/New year period.

Pros: good quality food, convenient location and opening hrs, lots of vegan options clearly marked

Cons: didn't get to go a fourth time, not all vegan

Many vegan choices!

Tibits is a chain restaurant with locations in many Swiss cities. Their concept is to offer a vegetarian buffet where you pay by weight. 100g of their buffet costs 4,20 CHF, desserts and fruits 3,50 CHF. Deduct 0,50 CHF if you buy your food for take-away. Expect to pay around 20 CHF for a full plate – which may sound expensive but is actually quite cheap for Switzerland.

The buffet offers an amazing range of dishes, many of which are vegan. It is clearly marked which dishes are vegan. The food always seemed to be very fresh. Everything I tried was at least good, many things were really great. I especially liked all of their curries (Indian-inspired curries, Thai-inspired curries), Samosas, Guacamole, some of their salads (e.g. Bloody Mary Salad). Things that were just so-so include the spring rolls, the hummus, the vegan desserts (there weren't many dessert options, one day it was a bland chocolate mousse, another day it was mango cake, only the passion fruit mousse was really good and available on most occassions).
You can also have Bircher Muesli for breakfast! It is the best musli I have ever eaten, with lots of red berries.
They also have very good juices (Tutti Frutti), good coffee (with soya-almond-milk) and lemonade. Wine and beer are also on offer. Or you take some tap water for free.

The staff is very friendly, the location modern and as good as it can get inside a train station. It can get very busy and once I had to queue for so long that the food got cold. But most of the times I visited it was a very pleasant experience.

Best veg*n option in Lucerne

Great restaurant! I eat there regularly. A buffet of fresh food, great selection, always friendly and relaxed. I usually take a plate with a little of everything, because I can never decide. A full plate will set you back at around 25 CHF (hungry male), which is pricy, but usual in Switzerland. The ready-made burgers aren´t to my taste, though, I usually stick to the buffet, which is always very tasty. Tip: Fill your plate and then add a Jalapeno or two.

Pros: great food, huge selection, buffet

Cons: somewhat expensive

Yum!

Visiting from the US. This little vegetarian restaurant is so cute inside and easy to get to! Located in the main train station. The food is good, some of the items I am not a huge fan of though. Try the little pastries with the AMAZING pea curry inside!! Honestly, it was the best thing there!

Vegan Day in Tibits

A modern looking restaurant serving buffet. Plenty of choices and each dish has a label which shows its ingredients in German on the front and English on the back. Nuts are also available. However, they don't show the food price in English. My first plate was 70% full and it cost €10. My second was full but it cost me €20. I nearly run out of money. The staff were joyful (bread, I wonder if you'd see this). The food tasted great. The next day I had a takeout (80% full) cost €15. Despite its price, I enjoyed it.

Pros: Food, Nuts available

Cons: No food price in English , A bit expensive

excellent place if you are a vegan

Super tasty, enough to choose from, nice athmosphere, free tap water. Choices are very limited in dairy loving Switzerland so if you are a vegan, this is the place you want to go

excellent & friendly

excellent food, except breakfast ("gipfeli" are fatty and far too soft, waffles are not tasty)

restaurant centrally located in 2nd floor (erste etage) of train station in the middle of the beautiful town

all food contents clearly labelled, incl. onions, garlic etc.

veg*n buffet; food super freshly prepared - incl. warm cake (!) in the evening, yummiii

very friendly, young staff

depending on your exchange rate, it might be expensive: we paid US$100,-- for two regular main dishes plus two normal sized desserts plus two lemonades, and USD 50,-- for a small breakfast for two

free tap water (which is unusual in europe) available from a small 'fountain'

nice, posh interior design, plus you may watch the trains

outside seating available

Pros: freshly prepared, high quality, young, cool, friendly staff, all food contents labelled

Cons: might be expensive depending on exchange rate, breakfast not spectecular
