Superb tasting and wide selection - Edit
I am really impressed with the food selection here! Although it’s a vegetarian restaurant, there are many vegan options here! And the food, I must say, is the best I ever have so far in my Europe trip!

Tibits buffet - Edit
The Tibits in Lucerne offers a wide range of delicious dishes directly at the main railway station. A wide selection of clearly labelled salty and sweet dishes are available at the buffet. As with other Tibits, an estimated 90% of the dishes are vegan.

Easy to identify vegan food - Edit
Really helpful staff. It's a different way of buying food, but try it! They will help you. English translations on the back of each food label, and a clear V for vegan (every else is veggie).

Phenomenal salad bar + hot food bar in the train station - Edit
At the main train station in Lucerne, go up the escalator, and Tibits is right there. The sign is so huge, you can see it from the train platforms. EVERYTHING was delicious! I’m vegan/GF, and my friend is vegetarian and NOT GF; we both loved our meals! Vegan and gluten-free items are clearly marked. Food labels are in German, but if you flip the cards over, you can read names of dishes and ingredients in English.
Read moreBeautiful fresh salad greens, toppings, and many dressings. Hot food bar had white and brown rice, potatoes, several different kinds of curries, beans dishes, and lentils. Every plate of food comes with a free roll, they had both normal and GF options. Dessert bar had things like an apple crumble, strawberry and vanilla cream (all vegan), GF vegan cherry brownies. There’s also a bakery with cookies, cake slices, mini pies/tarts, etc.
You pay by weight. Prices are very reasonable for the area.
Pros: Food labels are in English and German, Everything is fresh, healthy, and tasty, Huge variety of gluten-free and normal options

Nice, tasty and convenient, buffet - Edit
We had a quick meal at this place above the station and enjoyed it. There are lots of salads to chose from a buffet and some hot food as well as puddings. Nice dressings and interesting toppers! We also enjoyed the green power juice.

Buffet with wonderful variety - Edit
Everything is clearly labeled as vegan or vegetarian, and it is less pricey than some of the other pay-by-weight buffets. I had a chai mousse for dessert that was so good

Surprisingly good for what is essentially a vegan self-serve buffet - Edit
A large variety of hot and cold dishes presented. We chose mostly hot items. Located in the upper level of the Bahnhof, one would think of this as vegan fast food. It is fast, as you load up your plate, have it weighed, and pay per the weight of the food you chose. But the quality is really a super upgrade above what one would think fast food would be. And the price is very reasonable, considering the convenience and speed at which one can get a good variety of vegan main dishes, sides, breads, and desserts. When you need to eat good food quickly, ignoring the atmosphere, Tibits would be very difficult to beat.

WOAH - Edit
**it is on the top floor of the station** hard to find, asked around but holy guacamole was it AMAZING. Huge selection, desserts, salads, hot foods, comfort foods everything. It is wildly expensive, I’m talking 40-50 francs a person if you eat like I do which is when hungry hungry. Took my dad who’s not even vegetarian and he was in love.

Veg food above the rails - Edit
The famous create your own plate - pay by weight with an increasing share of vegan options. By now like 90 to 95% seem to be vegan, some few egg or dairy cheese left on the menu. Right place to go all day. This location is indoor only.

Great spot! - Edit
In the train station, so a little hard to find from outside, but worth the hunt. Buffet/salad bar style. Vegan options clearly marked. The food was fresh and tasty. A little pricey, but so far that seems to be Lucerne in general. We would definitely recommend!

Big range of food - Edit
I went here twice for dinner in 2 days and there were slight changes in food, which was nice to try new things. There was alot of vegan options (staff member said about 80%) and everything was clearly labelled.
Read moreMy absolute favourite was the egg salad. Also really liked the chilli non carne, and potato salad. The edamame dip was refreshing, and loved the range of dips - especially the house, tzitziki, and lentil pate.
You get a free bread roll with your meal, but they're not the soft fluffy bread.
The restaurant is spacious with welcoming decor, and conveniently in the train station.

Big fan of Tibits - Edit
I love Tibits! Lucerne is the fourth one I’ve been to and it’s just as good as the other branches. Great selection of dishes, cakes and drinks. The restaurant itself is in the main train station but doesn’t feel like it, has a lovely calm feel. The staff are exceptional, very friendly and enthusiastic.

Excellent Buffet - Edit
Multiple choices, mostly vegan in a buffet style. Protein options are limited. Delicious food. Even my meat-eating partner praised the food multiple times. That was a surprise. Even most of the desserts are vegan and tasted exceptional. The peanut butter brownie and passion fruit cheesecake was a balance of crunchy and sweet but not too sweet. The greatness comes with an expense- a medium plate of food is $20-30/CHF.
