Confused - very disappointed

I’m confused why this place has such high ratings. The service was terrible (food took 50 mins to arrive, after 40 mins waiting they said they’d forgotten what we ordered, no apology for the long wait). The food was the type of food that makes people hate healthy food - it was bland, flat and every dish was pretty much the same. We tried four different dishes and none would make us come back.

I guess I’m a minority, but I just don’t get the hype. There are dozens of vegan places with better food and service in Da Nang.

Pros: Cheap , Healthy

Cons: Extremely slow, Bad food

Cutest restaurant with amazing food

That was one of the nicest meals I’ve had in Vietnam so far. You choose from a wooden wall (and don’t really know what you’re gonna get but that’s part of the excitement isn’t it). I got the noodles with springrolls, which was a cold creamy peanut noodle salad with cucumber and lettuce and the tastiest springrolls I’ve ever had. I also ordered a lemon juice (think I got passion fruit - normally don’t like it but that was delicious!). The meals are very filling, cheap, pretty and I assume also healthy!

Pros: Nice vibe , Excellent food

Food that feels good for your soul

I don’t know if it was the relaxed wooden decor, or the slow pace the patrons move at but this place really does seem to fill your soul. Really Delicious and nourishing meal. The owner at the counter was really lovely, as well as her elderly mother who is hand making spring rolls in the shop in front of you, taking her time with each one. As for the food, it was full of flavour and filled our bellies. The spring rolls were hands down the best I’ve had. We tried a warm noodle soup, with tofu and mock meat, and a cold noodle and peanut salad, both topped with the spring rolls. I also opted to try the the salted lemon juice (weird but don’t knock it till you try it). I was pleasantly surprised, it was really refreshing. I really loved this place, I highly recommend.

Pros: Friendly staff, Great food , Suspiciously good for you?? But yum!

Thank you for all the good meals

On the first day of my 2 weeks stay in Danang, I happily discovered (having a look on HappyCow) this restaurant gem around the corner of my apartment.
I took my main meals there each day. The menu is changing and mostly I tried something new - meals and meal of the day and the different kinds of tea as well. Loved it all. The food is totally fresh cooked and very delicious. The atmosphere is mindful and relaxed.
There often is self made bread which you can have as a sandwich - also excellent.
There are items you can buy in the little shop (strongly recommend the fresh made peanut butter!).
A big Thank You to the very friendly shop owners and staff!

Pros: Everything

Cons: Should be here in Germany as well 😊

THE oasis in Danang

My favorite restaurant in Danang. Period.
Delicious high quality food - brilliant ambiente - wonderful selection of dry foods in their shop (AND PEANUT BUTTER without anything added - thank you)

Only con.. when going in the evening make sure to bring mosquito repellent 🤗

Pros: Can choose between different portion sizes, Very zen place, No chemicals/processed foods/msg/sugar

Cons: mosquitos in the evening, Too big to pack everything/one into my backpack

Authentic

Nice and cozy here! The owner cooks the food in front of you via an open kitchen. She is an amazing person and will take the time to have a chat to you and explain the foods that they make from scratch. The food was really nice and clean. Not oily and felt good for body. Heaps of locals there. Will defo go again!

Pros: Lots of personality, Fresh vegan food, handmade from scratch, Lovely owners

Cons: I didnt see any dessert options, The chocolate she makes ran out

Fresh, healthy, delicious

During our stay in Da Nang, we ate at Bao An several times. Every time, the food was the freshest and most satisfying we have had in Vietnam. Unlike many other chay restaurants, this spot uses whole, fiber and nutrient-rich ingredients made by scratch. If you enjoy healthy food that makes you feel good, do not miss out on this place. It is truly a gem. MUST TRY: spring rolls, daily brown rice plate, quang noodles. ALSO, ask if they have these rice cracker snacks filled with a gingery/lemony molasses and peanuts (or lotus seeds?). SO GOOD!!!!

Pros: Healthy, fresh, lovely atmosphere, Reasonable price for quality

Cons: Not a location in every city 😂

Greatest affordable healthy food in Da nang

I've been going to Bao An for the past 5 months, I worked in the restaurant industry for a long time and every restaurant needs something that Bao an Has : consistency. Every time you will eat there the quality and portions will always be the same, taste delicious always. The food is very affordable they usually close around 21h. If you are an expat living in Da nang or a traveller passing by, it will be the best options to eat green and an healthy tasty meal in Da nang . Lovely service and a Vietnamese traditionnal house design. Go and check it out ;)

Great vibes, wholesome food!

The food is nutritious and very cheap for its quality! Had the brown rice plate, it can with a few small sides of veggies and tofu, for only 40K. You can tell there is a lot of care and love put into the whole place. A lot of nice healthy products to buy too. Atmosphere is cosy.

Cozy place with a cute shop

The food was ok. Cold noodle with spring rolls had way too much sesame dressing or something like that. We also ordered the brown rice plate, but I didn’t like that either. The passion fruit juice was good. Too many mosquitos so we had to leave immediately after we ate. Cheap prices.

Pros: Nice atmosphere , Cheap

I really can’t understand high rating of this place.

The food is not tasty at all😒 I couldn’t eat mine dish because it was so bad. There were three of us and two dishes arrived after 15min and we waited for third dish for more 15min. For drinks we waited 40min... everything orders at the same time. For me in Da Nang the only vegan place with really good food is An’s.

This might be the best vegan food I tasted in Vietnam and maybe anywhere. Very flavourful and healthy! The people working there were very friendly and explained me a bit about macrobiotic food.

A Gem!!!

This place is tucked in a quiet, secluded corner of Da Nang. The food is delicious and healthy! They also have a dry good assortment of teas, beans, nuts and seeds. The rice and veggie platter with bitter melon rolls was superb. So glad to find this gem.

One of the few places in Da Nang for brown rice!

Wow! I really enjoyed this restaurant and the experience of meeting Nga, the owner and her wonderful staff! She started eating macrobiotically in order to help improve her husband's health, then started the restaurant to share what they discovered with the public! See a full review along with an interview of Nga on my personal blog

Fresh, bright, delicious

This place is a little hard to find, as there is little signage, but it’s definitely worth looking for. They have a handful of specials each day. I opted for the noodle bowl and lightly fried spring rolls.
The food was unique, and some of the freshest and tastiest I’ve had in Vietnam. They are light on the salt and seasonings, but this allows the freshness of their ingredients to shine through. The prices were very reasonable as well: 60,000 dong for my two dishes (~$3 usd). I would definitely come back (many times) if I had more time in Da Nang. Highly recommended.

Note: the location is currently at 40 Le Tan Toan, as of mid-June 2018.

Pros: Fresh, Tasty

Work in progress

Hard to find as address hasn’t been updated, we checked online to find the correct one. Currently being built so a bit rustic but added charm. Food was very tasty and staff were really friendly and sweet!

Cheap, healthy meal

Compared to all of the oily and fried Chay dishes Vietnam has to offer, this place is a detox! The food is simple, healthy and filling. Make sure to cover your food in their sesame salt! The staff are super nice, and assured me that everything on the menu as well as everything sold on the walls is vegan. Make sure to buy some of their oat crackers as a snack!

Pros: Healthy food, All vegan, Everything under 50K

Amazing

Omg this place is SO GOOD. I came in starving, and the girl running the place was so sweet and showed me the menu for the day. I ordered a noodle salad with spring rolls and sat down. There was a hot pot of tea, and the food came out quickly. It was so amazing!! I didn’t know what to expect, but what I ate exceeded my expectations so hard. I wish I was staying in Da Nang longer just so I could eat here more often! I got a medium size of the noodle salad and it was 40,000 dong.

Pros: Amazing menu , Good prices , Nice staff
