Everything can be made vegan - Great food - Edit
Only the in-person menu has the disclaimer that "everything can be made vegan" so don't stress about the online menu that only lists a few apps as vegan.
Read moreI ordered Pad Thai (vegan sauce, no egg) with tofu and I wish I had also asked for veggies because it only came with noodles, tofu, and scallions. Still super delicious!

a wide variety of menu items available for vegans at a small cafe - Edit
Do not be misled by the online menu. On the online menu, the word Vegan describes only several appatizers. In person, on the printed menu, is stated very clearly that anything on the menu can be prepared Vegan. The word Vegan is very reassuring, otherwise you must assume that fish is in every sauce served at any Thai restaurant. Also, neither the online nor the printed menu states that brown rice can be served instead of white rice, so be sure to ask for brown rice, for which there is no dollar or two dollar surcharge as at other Asian restaurants that are progressive enough to offer brown rice.
Read moreWhile the food is fine, this small cafe's outstanding feature is the wide variety of menu items available for vegans. Its other outstanding feature is the interior decor of the cafe itself and its large storefront window offering an expansive view of the picturesque train station (now a coop art gallery) across the street.
Pros: wide variety for vegans, the interior decor, the large storefront window

Lots of options, Consistent Food - Edit
I get takeout from Thong Thai pretty often and have tried a bunch of their vegan options.
Read morePretty standard thai food but they have a vegan menu and have vegan sauces for many dishes (most thai dishes like drunken noodles have fish sauce in them).
The buddha bites are very good and the drunken noodles are always consistent and flavorful.
If you want a different dish, you can ask for it to be made vegan and they will know exactly what you mean.
Service is always very friendly

Amazing Thai - Edit
On vacation we found Thong Thai and got some takeout to eat on the beach!
Read moreAs soon as we pulled up an employee came near our car to greet us and ask us our name to bring out our order! The employee was so kind and made the pick up contactless and quick! I felt super safe and amazed with the service!
Apart from the amazing service, the food was phenomenal! Probably the best Thai food I have ever had, period.
My parents, my sister, and I were amazed! We got a lot of amazing vegan options!
On the order we just asked for no egg/ no fish sauce, and told them we are vegan! All food came labeled with a V on the box. Felt super happy about that.
What we got from Thong Thai:
-crispy fried tofu
-Buddha bites aka soy nuggets (recommend these 1000%)
- house fried rice
- pineapple fried rice
-pad see ew (BEST PAD SEE EW I’VE EVER HAD)
- crispy rolls
If you are in Westerly I seriously recommend this spot!
Pros: Amazing service, Great vegan options, So much flavor

My favorite local place - Edit
I would rate it five stars if the app allowed me to! They are very understanding of veganism and if you request something vegan, and say “no fish sauce, no egg” for example, they will do that. Some things cannot be veganized, like certain curries, but they will tell you that beforehand and give other suggestions. The staff is very friendly about it too, and want to help you out— they don’t get annoyed or overwhelmed by the requests. Not to mention, the food is amazing (for vegans and omnivores alike). The atmosphere is charming and fit for both a casual meal as well as a nicer one. My favorites are the drunken noodles with tofu (no fish sauce, no egg) and the fresh basil rolls. The spicy eggplant is another great option. As a vegan I feel very safe eating here, and I would highly recommended it to anyone, regardless of their dietary needs.

Delicious and vegan friendly! - Edit
We have been going to Thong for several years. The staff is always friendly and understanding when we tell them we are vegan. The dinner entrees come with a small salad with delicious ginger citrus dressing and crunchy fried spring roll bites. They happily adapt their sauces for vegans and offer steamed or fried tofu or soy nuggets as protein options both of which we’ve tried and are delicious! The decor is lovely and it’s in the heart of westerly which is a great town to enjoy for a date night! We will always be back!
