We asked 6 coffee places in central Funchal for non dairy milk latte and none of them had it. We came here because of the reviews from last year saying that they had soya and almond milk for coffee and they didn't have any of them.

The service was very slow. The food was average. Nice staff. Pretty expensive. Poor labelling of the few vegan options. The terrace is lovely though, and the location is convenient!

Tasty Cappuccino - Edit
Very tasty cappuccino with soy or almond milk. Nice ambience with outdoor seating. However, the prices are very expensive, a cappuccino costs just under 4 euros. But with the location to be expected.

We went here for dinner. There was no separate menu for vegetarian/vegan options and the waiter had to advise what could be adapted to vegan from the normal menu. There was only a couple of options available- we opted for the Linguine (without Parmesan). The portion was quite small and felt it was overpriced. No vegan desserts or sides were available.

If I was making general review I would give this place 5 stats. Nice atmosphere, kind staff, dinning on the balcony with the view for the city... but unfortunately food was not so good. They have 3 options in "alternative" menu and one is vith egg pasta so it cannot be made vegan. Also you need to specify that you want your food vegan. We had risotto, quinoa salad and from general menu we took sauted veggies and roasted potatos. Risotto was tasting like overcooked rice, no spices at all. After all I got refund for this dish. The rest was fine.

Nice Restaurant with live music - Edit
The seperate menue is very nice to have, but a bit confusing because there are not only vegan items. But if you ask the staff, they will make sure your food is vegan. I had the salad, which was very good and filling. They also serve very tasty, homemade smoothies and Ice teas. It is very nice to sit on the balcony and listen to the live music

Confusing vegan options - Edit
They have a big sign saying "vegan menu" where half the dishes are ovo-lacto. It's really confusing, but at least the waiter understands the difference and explained which dishes I could eat. The vegan food is alright. I ate some sort of tomato stew with tofu called Moqueca. It was very tasty but I left hungry. No vegan desserts available.

The staff were lovely and friendly and knowledgeable of the vegan options. Some items on the vegan menu didn't appear to be vegan so watch out for that and ask the server. I had the Tofu Moqueqa (served with rice) which was different to what I expected, more of a tomato based stew, but it was very tasty!

4 different vegan choices possible (linguine not vegan!), very delicious, good portions and fair price. We had the risotto, the salad and the tofu dish - all were excellent! Service was really nice. So far (besides the indian restaurants we tried) best value for money for vegan dining in Funchal. (Additionaly, seems to have a special offer, 30% discount, between 5:30pm and 7:30pm).

Great and affordable dining experience - Edit
The place offers separate vegetarian and vegan menu. We tried the moqueca tofu and a vegetarian risotto with mushrooms and asparagus from the main menu. Both tasted amazing. The passion fruit smoothie was also delicious. The prices were good (less than 9 euros for a dish), because between 17.30-19.30 there is 30% discount on the whole menu. Mind though that despite this official information, the kitchen opens at 6 pm.
