An oasis in the middle of a vegan desert! - Edit
When I am in STL, I always eat at The Wolf. The only restaurant in the Chesterfield area with multiple vegan offerings. And the food is delicious. Highly recommend!

The vegan pizza was good; the cheese on top was yummy! Beyond burger was tasty, and they have several choices for sides, including fresh fruit.

Delicious - Edit
Vegan and non-vegan options. There is a vegan menu online, but the in-store menu isn't designated. I asked to make sure what I ordered was vegan and the hostess said that it was but also made sure to note it in my order so that the kitchen knew. The food was lovely, but I could have eaten more (especially for the price). Definitely a great option - particularly for the area! It's rare to find a restaurant that has vegan dishes on the menu out here.

Great vegan options - Edit
Just when I was starting to accept that there weren't a lot of good vegan options near me, I managed to find the Wolf Cafe. My meal and experience was so great that I plan to go back on a regular basis.
Read moreThey have an extensive vegan menu and I had the delicious vegan sliders. There were even vegan butterfingers that tasted close to what I remember.
I can't wait to try their breakfast options on my next visit.
Pros: Good vegan menu

In my neighborhood - Edit
I go to the Wolf regularly. They have a great black bean burger and this phenomenal vegan salad dressing. I heard the chef is vegan and is always adding vegan options to the menu.

Delicious breakfast options - Edit
This was a great find. Much of the breakfast menu (available all day) can be made vegan. I ordered toast as a side and the person who took my order knew to let me know that the multigrain bread had honey, but that sourdough was a good substitute. I had the hash bowl with scrambled tofu, sweet potatoes, mushrooms, red onions, and brussels sprouts. The coffee is good too. I'm looking forward to my next trip to the area so I can make a return visit.

Healthy, Tasty Vegan Food in West County - Edit
I'm very excited to have found The Wolf Cafe in Ballwin. This area typically is much less vegan friendly than the city and The Wolf Cafe has quite a few option, on top of being a sustainability focused establishment. All of the items that are vegan or can be vegan are clearly marked. They have a few vegan bowls, I had the Tranquility Bowl with tofu, mushroom, veggies, tahin sauce and cauliflower rice (vegan by default) and split the baked cauliflower appetizer with creamy herb sauce (vegan option). The portions were good and the food was fresh tasty. They offer much of their breakfast menu all day, and any breakfast item made with eggs can be subbed with tofu scramble. This is great as there are not a lot of great vegan breakfast options in the county. My husband had the huevos rancheros made with tofu, served with black beans, avocado, salsa, and tortillas. His was fine, although it came out barely warm, which was a little disappointing.
Read moreThere were several other items on their menu I would be interested in trying (chickpea salad sandwich, prosperity bowl, avocado toast with tofu scramble, scrambled tofu hash etc), so I'm sure we will be back soon.
Note, the online menu does not mention you can sub out the eggs for tofu scramble, but the menu in the restaurant very clearly shows this.
Pros: Plenty of vegan options, Sub tofu for eggs in breakfast dishes, Focus on local, sustainable food
Cons: No vegan baked goods
