Serves meat, vegan options available. Restaurant with a Mediterranean ambiance on the main highway between Otaki and Waikanae in Kapiti, just north of Wellington. The landlord is vegan and so the restaurant proprietors created a vegan menu with his encouragement. Offers plenty of vegan choices, in addition to occasional all-vegan banquets. A 7 vegan main course consists of fritters, rosti, pasta, ragout, curry, burger and pies. The restaurant can cater for large numbers and can host weddings and events.
Has a big sign on the highway stating they have vegan options. Also opens for dinner bookings for groups of 6 or more. Open Tue-Sun 11:00am-3:00pm. Closed Mon.

Lots of tasty, nutritious vegan options

Can always count on a great vegan lunch when they're open. Friendly service from sincere & friendly staff. Modest sized indoor dining plus lovely outdoor dining in warm weather in a large, covered patio area. Relaxed & peaceful country garden setting with a natural rather than over-manicured feel. They sometimes host great evening events too, with live music, etc. Check re their spectacular Vegan Feasts or other events, since the calendar varies.

Pros: Enough tasty vegan options for everyone, Peaceful rural atmosphere, Vegan wine available too

Vegan food in rural setting

Went here for lunch September 2019 with vegan friends. Three meals, all delicious and accompanied by vegan wine.
Have also been here for vegan buffet breakfast - good value for money.
Check it's open before heading over as hours may vary.

Pros: Good value

Family lunch

We were a family group of 8 for lunch. Table was prepared for us (we had booked) in conservatory with bougainvillea flowers in the rafters making a delightful setting.
About 6-8 vegan meal options on the specials blackboard, with more on the regular menu. I’m not sure if the desserts were vegan (I can’t remember).

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Warm sheltered peaceful rural setting, Very reasonable prices

Great vegan options

This place is not all vegan but has some great vegan options on their menu. I had the vegan pie with mushy peas and potato mash, it was super tasty! The portion sizes are massive too so a win win.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Beautiful dining area , Big portion sizes

Cons: They serve meat here too

delicious and beautiful!

We went out for a vegan buffet event and it was incredible! For $27 there was a colossal unlimited amount of food(entrees, soup, mains, and desserts!!) including heaps of fake meat products too!! It was a lovely environment with caring and friendly owners running the event. The normal menu had heaps of vegan stuff on it which we must come return to try.

Comfortable & relaxed summer dining .....

This is a nice place for lunch on a sunny day. Off the State Highway it is quiet and comfortable in a rural setting. The prices are really reasonable and the staff were friendly.

I had the Pumpkin & Kumera fritters for lunch. Good portions with a tasty side salad and potato chunks with salsa. Good flavours throughout. We enjoyed it and will return to try something else off the vegan blackboard menu.

Pros: Relaxed dining atmosphere, Friendly service, Very reasonable prices

Cons: Didn't see a vegan dessert option
