lovely place

Great place, lovely friendly staff and nice relaxed atmosphere. The cakes were divine and really good coffee. Also, they have a little shop section where you can buy a selection of grocery items, including refills for your Ecover products and they sell a few unpackaged dry goods to weigh out, so bring your reusable baggies. The whole ethos of the place is right up my street combining both veganism and zero waste. Please open a branch in my town.

Pros: vegan throughout , zero waste ethos , friendly staff

Cons: none

We have been asked quite a lot about opening a franchise in another town, oven Bristol which surely has a lot of places like us....

Thanks for your wonderful review, and glad you enjoyed your visit. :-)

Brilliant

Found this lovely place through Happy Cow and it was such a fabulous surprise. I live up in the Highlands and to have somewhere like this up here is such a blessing.
The staff were immediately welcoming and you felt like it was one of those places where nothing was too much trouble which is so nice nowadays.
I had a pot of tea and a piece of the lemon cake to sit in and the cake was yummy. It was very sweet - perfect, just how I like cake! I don't see the point in eating tasteless dust type cake in the hope that you don't feel as guilty. Enjoy the cake - own the guilt.
I also took away a sourdough toasty with 'cheese' and pesto which was also full of flavour and packed with filling. I also took away a brownie (see guilt note above :-)) which was lovely and moist and full of chocolate goodness.
A definite asset to Fort William High Street which has looked a little tired of late.

Pros: Vegan Cake , Great sarnies, A much needed gem

Pleasant surprise :)

We weren't really expecting it to be so easy to eat vegan on our way back from Skye, and were prepared for the usual hummus and crisps in the car. Finding a fully vegan cafe in Fort William was amazing!

My partner and I both opted for the cheesy beans toastie (violife cheese I think), on home made bread with crispy tempeh bacon. Really, really tasty! I also indulged in a hot chocolate (delicious) and we each sampled the cakes on the shop front, which were as decadent as we were hoping for.

Good service, great atmosphere, friendly staff and a cafe everyone should support. Good luck, guys!

Pros: Vegan :), Tasty, Good variety in lunch options

Cons: Portions slightly on the smaller side perhaps?

gorgeous

Visiting fort William, as a new vegan I wasn't expecting much but I stumbled into this little gem. Not only did it take me a second to realise I'd stumbled into a completely vegan cafe but that the food was gorgeous! The lemon cake so yummy I could have eaten the whole thing. With a little shop, great tea choices, lovely quirky setting and very friendly and helpful staff. I fell in love with it. Just disappointed I couldn't take it home with me!

Hi Rebecca, thanks for the kind words, and welcome to the world of veganism!
A lot of people say they didn't know it was vegan straightaway (someone said it was 'casually animal-product free') which is something we were aiming for, to get people in without judging it from the outside, as a result, we've had a lot of Oatly converts and minds prised open!
Hope to see you again next time you're our way.
Stephen
