2019 - Edit
I visited here in 2019 on a bicycle tour and I loved their unapologetic extinction rebellion vibe. Right on the high street of a major tourist town too!
Read moreTry their home made beans on toast of they still serve it. It's home made and it will completely blow your mind!! (Never go back to the canned stuff!)
Pros: Vegan on the high street!, Staff was willing for me to order off the menu, Free electricity
Cons: Can be busy in tourist season

Great all day breakfast wrap! - Edit
Stopped off here for some breakfast in Fort William and the all day breakfast wrap was so tasty. It had tofu scramble, coconut bacon and an avocado alternative that was made from edamame beans!

Good enough to warrant a detour - Edit
I had an all-day breakfast wrap on first visiting, which was very substantial, with "avoca-no", tofu scramble, beans, and fake cheese. It really was spot on and set me up for the day. I ended up going back later and having the soup of the day: mushroom and fennel. There's also all different cakes, so I had a coffee and walnut cake, which was also substantial, tasted very good, and was moist.
Read moreWhen I went they were serving from a plywood counter at the front door and people were waiting on a nearby set of benches. I think it's a covid measure. The staff also all wore masks and were all polite. It's a shame it shuts so early but everything winds down early around there as far as I can tell.
Pros: Very good food, Accessible

Would give more stars - Edit
This place really tries and it shows. It may be preaching to the choir, but the message is clear: the environment is important. The other message is also clear: the food is delicious. And SO MANY BAKED GOODS TO CHOOSE FROM. Would have tried the whole menu if I could’ve.

Worth the wait - Edit
We had to wait about 35 minutes for a table on a Thursday afternoon, there is no way to book. That was all fine when the food is so good. We both had the salad bowl which was incredibly filling. Good range of coffees and sandwiches. The carrot cake was delicious and so had some shortbread to take away also.

Cute and cozy with amazing food. - Edit
This cafe was so cute and cozy. Well laid out with provisions to maintain social distancing. Really glad we were still in Fort William on Wednesday to visit this reatuarant. The food was superb - we had the scrambled tofu and avoca-no on sourdough. The scrambled tofu was the best I've ever had, so well seasone, and the avoca-no was just like avacado and in fact maybe even better! The food was so good we even ordered a sandwich and wrap plus deserts to go so we could have them for lunch later in the day. They also have a little vegan store selling dry goods, toiletries and books. We bought two books and really looking forward to reading them. The staff was also very good and really showed they care about their customers. Would highly recommend eating here when in Fort William.

Great cafe! - Edit
Entirely vegan cafe nestled in the heart of adventurous Fort Williams! Amazing staff, creative cafe menu and great whole food selection. I tried their avoca-no spread (mushy peas, edamame and beans) and it was well filling and nutritious all while tasting pretry good! I walked away with a oolong tea tin, which is really hard to find in the UK! Stole my heart

Great little cafe, good selection of food and drink. Take away available. Covid-19 measures excellent, very reassuring. Scrambled tofu some of the best I've had. Had the breakfast bowl special, excellent taste, quite large and very satisfying... one happy chap 😎

Best cafe in Fort William - Edit
I live in Fort William and end up quite often at the Wildcat. Lovely atmosphere and staff, delicious drinks and some of the best vegan cakes I've had. Great books and products on sale at the back ! I love that the place in fully vegan - that is a very rare thing in the Highlands. Actually I can't think of another place at all. Love their oatmilk chai latte and matcha latte !

Pleasant surprise at the end of the WHW - Edit
Went for a breakfast here after finishing the WHW. A very nice place with cool vegan vibe.
Read moreStaff is nice and the food was very tasty.
Avoca-no- Great very special. Good texture and seasoning. Reminds me of similar paste I make at home.
Baked beans- Classic, can't go wrong here. Was very good as well.
The hummus was nice, nothing more, I tasted better hummus and worse hummus.
The breads were great, served toasted.
The cakes we tasted (walnut banana and Tunisian almond and orange) were a blast too.
As you can see in the pictures, lots of cakes, as well as RAW and GF opts. Wish I could taste them all. Was there just for one day :(
They also have chocolates, oats, different kinds of rice and some more vegan foods for sale. Very cool.

So good I went twice! - Edit
I was in FW for a couple of days with a relative and we went for tea & cake on arrival in the town late afternoon, and then we had a lunch there the day we were leaving. Staff are friendly, efficient and helpful, food is lovely. For lunch we went with the soup & bread to leave room for cake, all of it was good, and I would love to try some of the other things in the menu another time. Also did some shopping from their loose products and other things they have. Yes it's small and very busy at lunchtimes - we shared a long table with others and one person was really loud and dominating, but that's just life! Good choice of teas including ones that you don't see many places else.

Nice little shop - Edit
Cute little cafe with a few zero waste groceries in back. Gets busy fast and there’s not much space to move around. If you want a table, go early. Coffee is delicious as are the baked goods. Brownie especially. Also had the sourdough bread with almond butter, which was good. But they gave me two HUGE pieces of bread! Had to bring some home.
