Lovely cafe and meals - Edit
Lovely cafe with a nice garden area. There were 3 vegan hot specials, one being the lasagne which I had. All the specials were homely and not the normal generic choices. We also had a salad bowl which was vegan minus the cheese.

Fresh Food, Good Choices, Nice Vibe! - Edit
I really enjoyed my visit to The Wild Oak Cafe. The cafe has a really nice and relaxed atmosphere with good music and nice decor including artwork hung on the walls. I really appreciate how inclusive this cafe is, too, as there are sitting areas where dogs are welcome and where dogs are not in addition to having gender neutral toilets. Also, I thought the ordering system was really cool as you can 'reserve' your table whilst getting up to order as I often worry about my table being taken when I do this in cafes particularly when dining alone. In addition to all of this a real effort had been made yesterday as it was Halloween with the staff in a bit of fancy dress and some halloween decor was up as well as there being Halloween specials on such as Borscht a blood-red Beetroot soup and Spiced Pumpkin Scones.
Read moreI ordered the Baked Tofu Curry with Onion Bhajis and a Chai Latte. The dish came with a choice of two salads, which was not stated on the menu, so I felt a bit flustered having to decide on the spot, especially as the salad options were not labelled in the display. I also had to enquire about if the curry was vegan as none of the dishes state if they are suitable for vegans in addition to vegetarians (apart from their sausage rolls, which does state this). However, allergen information was listed on items on their blackboard items, which I thought was a helpful touch. The staff were really friendly and attentive and had the knowledge and information to hand about which dishes were vegan or not. The curry was really good and you could tell the food was homemade. The onion bhajis were particularly tasty, and the latte was one of the nicest coffees I have had in a long time. The meal was such a hit that I ended up taking two cakes to go (all of which were vegan with some being gluten free), and the Pear, Pistachio, and Rose Cake was ridiculously good. Vegan snacks are also available to purchase, such as Love Raw and H!P chocolate bars.
I highly recommend The Wild Oak Cafe to anyone near Llanidloes, and I will definitely be returning as I already have my eye on their Vegan Sausage roll. They have an active social media presence, so I recommend following their FB and Insta to keep updated!
Pros: Fresh, Good Quality, and Healthy Food, Flavourful and Interesting Menu Items, Great Atmosphere and Friendly Staff
Cons: Vegan Options Not Always Clearly Labelled , Plant Milk Options Not Listed

Great little find - Edit
We popped in on our way home after spotting it on the App. Lovely little dog friendly cafe which has plenty of vegan options. We arrived at 3pm, so some items were out of stock. We opted for a salad bowl which was a really generous portion and filled us up!
