Amazing service - Edit
Great service and food, cosy and felt great after a day of walking. Laura was lovely and made us feel very welcome. Matt made us lovely food and Mike on the bar was very entertaining

Nice food but a bit expensive - Edit
Food was nice! We had the vegan burger and the curry. Everything was nice but we thought that £15 for burger and chips is a bit expensive.

AVOID - Inflexible, poor quality, tiny portions! Got a refund - Edit
Despite having an updated vegan/vegetarian menu no plant based milk or cheese available.
Read moreOrdered vegan lasagne, asked for cheese as it wasn't included in the meal, but not possible. The order came out and the ramekin it was in was tiny and about 2cm deep! No bechamel sauce at all despite it stating so on the menu, and about 2 small layers of pasta. Served with a mediocre piece of lettuce, a slice or two of tomato and what looked like water for dressing. The size of the meal was about a quarter of the size of a meal from the main menu, which my friend had.
Asked for a refund for the meal. Received no apology. The lasagne has been on the old menu too so I think more victims have also been had! Avoid, ended up at an awesome craft beer tapas place called Es down the road for an actual meal.

Pretty good! - Edit
We had the vegan burger and spinach/lentil pie. Both were good, and there were a few other vegan options I was tempted by as well! The vegan burger didn’t come with fries (and it seemed like they might not have been vegan), so that was the only disappointing thing. So nice to have so many options! Also, we were happy to find violife cheese on the burger!

Good service but food very average - Edit
We went here on a very busy Sunday Lunchtime and luckily found a table straightaway. They did very well to get our food to us in 30mins when they had warned us it could be 45mins. Staff were very nice. Vegan menu was okay but seemed much more expensive than the regular menu. £12 for a fairly dry burger without chips seemed a lot and the lasagne was nuked in the microwave. We went to Ambleside tavern (not listed on here) the next night round the corner who had two vegan curries and a vegan burger (minus the cheese) at half the price.

Limited - Edit
I went to this pub with my wife who is omni. I can't comment on the food as we didn't order any. But I'd just like to comment on the choice of food. The pub is a part of a chain and does offer a limited choice of vegan food. Unfortunately it was not enough to keep me there, so I chose to go to Gandhi's cafe and my omni wife ate vegan. I've given 3 stars for effort as the pub is catering for everyone.
