Vegan menu - Edit
I didn’t realize The Whistling Kettle had a separate vegan menu! It was limited (and I had to ask for it), but oh my goodness it was super yummy! And the hot Matcha latte with oat milk was perfect on this cold day!(Tried to give them five stars, but because they’re not fully vegan/vegetarian, I was only allowed to give them four stars.) ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Yummy, with a little weirdness - Edit
My friend and I went to check out the vegan menu and really enjoyed most of our meal. One thing that was disappointing was that I was served a stale scone. My friend had ordered the same scone, and his was fresh (and bigger). They brought me a fresh one, but it wasn’t handled well, and I felt uncomfortable. Another annoyance was getting regular potato chips instead of kettle cooked as the menu stated. I had been excited about getting super crunchy chips.

Vegan options - Edit
I didn't think WK had anything vegan, but then I learned that they have a separate vegan menu you have to ask for! I wish it were part of the regular menu, but the options are good: about a dozen different salads, crepes, and sandwiches. I enjoyed the vegan ratatouille crepe, which was a buckwheat crepe containing vegetables and vegan mozzarella. Drinks can be made with your choice of milk, including almond and oat, and the two sweetener options are simple syrup and honey, so be sure to specify. Note that some of the flavored teas contain dairy.

Ask for the vegan menu! - Edit
I never thought of going to Whistling Kettle because the menu listed online doesn’t seem vegan friendly. However, my dad wanted to go so I figured I’d make do. I happened to ask if they had any vegan baked goods and they answered “no but we have a vegan menu!” I ended up ordering a sweet crepe which was delicious!!! They also had good looking savory crepes and sandwiches. I look forward to returning! It’s hard to choose The Whistling Kettle when Take Two is down the street, but it’s a great option when you want more of a sit down meal experience, a less heavy meal or you’re dining with people who would be freaked out by a fully vegan place.
