Great food and service

Humongous menu, it's going to take us forever to try all the stuff we're interested in having. Food is superb, as well as the service (although kitchen has a hard time with special requests). Can't wait for our next visit.

Not for health-conscious eaters

We didn’t find the food here good like what the raving reviews said. It was greasy, seitan tasteless, and everything is prepared in an unhealthy way. To be fair, I think people who don’t mind grease and fried food would think this place is tasty, but those who enjoy whole food and eat a healthy diet would not enjoy it so much.

Pros: All vegan, Large portions

you can't go to Seattle and not come here!

we traveled 45 minutes from our hotel just to come here and it was so worth it!
I had the Alfredo with garlic bread and it was amazing. my non-vegan boyfriend had a burger and said it was one of the best he's eaten.
I could barely move after as the serves are so big!
100% recommend this place

Pros: all vegan, big serves , friendly service

Want more!

Could only visit the once but wished we could go back to try more of their meals. Highly recommend the steak platter with its sourcream sandwiched between two hashbrowns. And the florentine omelet covered in holondaise sauce. NOM

Vegan food that sticks to your ribs!

Both times I've dined here, I have been blown away! Everything has tasted amazing. Love that breakfast options are available all day, too! Try the Ex-Benedict and anything with the country gravy!

Pros: Delicious food, reasonable prices, friendly staff

If you’re looking for “natural” style super herbed up food this may not be it

I hit this place 1-3x/week. I’ve eaten most things on the menu. I bring all three of my kids and my friends Omni or Vegetarian on occasion. I don’t love everything and sometimes the fettuccini needs more Parmesan and garlic. Speak up - they listen. My kids love chocolate chip pancakes and hash browns; southern comfort chickun sandwich; suns over Seattle. My friend likes Tempeh Reuben. I like farmers hash, the real deal, bruschetta burger and crispy chickun salad. I will get a side of steamed kale or potato salad in place of fries. Kentucky butter cake is amazing and not diet anything of any kind but nobody will make you eat that or the cinnamon rolls.

Pros: Comfort food, Fattening, Affordable

Cons: Wait times on weekends, Diner food/not pinky up diet gourmet vegan food, Diner food/not Chinese, Mexican food

a bit disappointing

huge selection, lots to choose from, but the taste wasn't very good. we tried 5 different breakfast options and it all tasted pretty much the same. each item was basically a mix of vegan meat, vegan cheese and vegan mayo.

Pros: huge selection, many classics made vegan

Cons: the taste wasn't very good

Fave Brunch Spot Stop

I fly into Seattle a few times a year on a morning flight and Wayward is my first stop for a delicious vegan brunch & cocktail. Their burritos & biscuits & gravy are just a couple of my favorites. Love bringing in my non-veg friends to show them how tasty vegan food can be!

Pros: All vegan , Friendly staff w/ recommendations

Fast n friendly

Tasty all-American diner experience with great service. So many options, you can choose from breakfast, lunch or dinner menu all day. Real close to highway so made a great stop-off between Vancouver and Portland.

Pros: Great service , So many choices , Easy to find

Cons: Everything is fried: this is not healthy , Expensive

Vegan fast food

Toppings were good, burger just ok, and buns were not that great. Expected better given the reviews we read.

All vegan

This is an amazing all vegan cafe. The menu was 4 pages long which made it virtually impossible to decide. The homestyle fries for reference are also tiny little potato chunks not actual fries. The food is delicious, the serving sizes are large and they are quite reasonable considering ($10-12 a dish). The staff were all extremely friendly and I would most definitely return.

Biscuits and Gravy!

Though I have never had lunch or dinner at Wayward, their brunch is excellent. Very few restaurants can do a decent vegan biscuits and gravy. Even my 65 year old non-veg parents have enjoyed their meals here. It's all standard diner fare, so if you're looking for inspired and fresh vegetarian cooking, this is not the place for you. However, if you want a consistantly solid classic turned vegan, you will not be disappointed!

Pros: Variety, Comfort food

Big variety, lots of savory stuff

I used to order takeout from Wayward when I lived nearby because it's one of the only places I've ever been that has everything from V benedict, biscuits n gravy, & breakfast sandwiches to chicken parm grinders and GF options too. I moved away but I still go in when I can but sometimes the service is slow.

Pros: huge variety, gluten free options, great breakfast

Cons: slow service

Highly disappointed

Came here with my family while being on a trip. This diner style vegan place looked great from the reviews, outside, and menu. Sadly, the food taste was disappointing. Over fried, not original, and terrible fake meat products. I was nervous to bring non-vegans here but being a vegan myself I have to say this is one of the worst places I’ve been to. Tofu scramble was extremely salty, too much bread on the sandwiches, and much more. Thankfully they tried to make up for it with a free desert. Hopefully your food experience is better than mine.

Pros: 100% Vegan , Vegan Bloody Mary , Awesome Ranch

Cons: Salty , Over fried , Bad fake meats

Options

Tons of options, decided to go with the “breakfast club” which may have been a mistake. The fake meats weren’t my favorite, nor was the egg so the pancake was really all i enjoyed. After going vegan i havnt found a ton of breakfast options i have really enjoyed, so i think my ordering breakfast was the problem. Their lunch menu looked great and when I return I will probably get a burger or or sandwich.

just okay

The chili cheese fries with bacon and green onions were delicious! The Tuscany fettuccini alfredo and burger needed some help. The flavor of thw alfredo wasn't savory and the burger looked like meat but was rubbery with an odd odor.

Decor was super cute and location was convenient.

Pros: All vegan with a big list of vegan desserts. Unfo

Cons: Staff was a bit sluggish.

Sunday Brunch At It's Best

My boyfriend and I love coming here for breakfast. It get's very busy on the weekends and there usually is a good 10-20 minute wait. We haven't come for lunch or dinner yet, but their menus for all three meals are served all day. The parking is ample and totally free, which is a welcome change in Seattle. The food is reasonably priced and I've never been disappointed with my decision. We usually end up getting way too much food, but the bloated bellies a happy exchange.

Pros: Delicious Food , Great Little Atmosphere
