Friendly staff, great menu, delicious food and their 🦁. They serve breakfast all day and their lentil mini burgers and banana no pancake dishes were super delicious!

Best meal in Panama! - Edit
It’s been a struggle over the last week to find non meat options, especially in the country towards the Darién. Enough of the fries and patacones, please! Vegetables are just an afterthought and often draw a curious look when requested. The Vegan Shack is the perfect oasis of food sanity. The labneh starter, the abundance bowl, health freak juice and crumble dessert were all superb. As good as anything found in my hometown of Austin, Texas. In retrospect, I only wish I had left a larger tip. This review is my penance.

Everything we had was delicious! Sushi bowl was so flavorful with a nice mix of veggies plus edamame and tofu. Fred are great. Chunky monkey bowl was really good too. Lots of options. People who work there are really nice and speak English.

We had the pancakes and pink smoothie bowl with iced coffees - everything was great! Staff were lovely and the cafe itself was cute. They had a very cute distinguished looking dog too! Would definitely recommend it if you're in panama city.
Read morePopped back in for dinner and had the BBQ tofu sandwich. It was good but not as good as the breakfast I'd say. Felt a little small portion wise for the price. The staff were still lovely.

First of all, this restaurant is extremely pretty. Plenty of books and plants. The food was absolutely delicious and all day breakfast is always an advantage. The staff is perfectly lovely. But! The show was stolen by their dog. It's the cutest little angel. I don't find the words to describe how worthy of visiting this place is.

Nice place with moderate food - Edit
This place is really cute and nicely decorated. However, the food was rather mediocre and well overpriced for what it is. The staff was “ok”, but we would not come back here. We also did not like the small (but cute) dog running around begging for food once we got our plates. The staff obviously saw that we don’t want to have the dog close to us but did not do anything.

Thank you for your review, it helped me to decide about whether or not to visit the restaurant. I heard good things, but am turned off my dogs roaming around restaurants begging patrons for food. I wish owners would consider that, although most people seem not to mind, this is not ok with everyone.

Vegan Shack is a Winner - Edit
The food was delicious. The service was great. The vibe was fantastic! We chatted long after eating, undisturbed. The owner chatted with us when we finally indicated we wanted the check. It was perfect in every way. This was my 3rd visit and each of the others was great as well. This is a Winner!

I felt so relaxed and happy here. A super cute dog was bouncing around; friendly owner: really good food - we had tofu scramble which had some lovely sides with it. Also had a cookie and coffee afterwards (moved from our table to a sofa at the back where there were some tarot cards) as we didn’t want to leave!

Vegan restaurant at Casco Viejo - Edit
This was the only vegan restaurant I found on HappyCow in this area by the time I visited Casco Viejo. It's a pretty nice cafe. I ordered the Abundance bowl and the watermelon lemonade, very refreshing.

Has to be on your list in Panama. The owner was lovely, the food was fantastic and full of flavor. I woulda liked a little more but thats also because it was super delicious. Had a dip to start and some sliders for the main.

We had dinner and returned for lunch the next day. Enjoyed the tofu scramble platter, breakfast sandwich (breakfast orders all day ), abundance bowl, lentil quinoa bowl, papaya -banana drink and cappuccino. Friendly owners and fresh food. Loved the sauces and side salads.

I had the chunky monkey shake and the breakfast burrito. I also tried the attraction hamburgers. Everything tasted (and was) homemade. It was nice to have a full vegan menu, as options in this city can be limited.

Maybe I had high expectations because it’s supposed to be one of the best place on this app. The vibe was weird, the staff wasn’t very friendly. I thought a vegan restaurant was supposed to be eco friendly but not here, the AC was very strong with the double door wide open. I had the breakfast tofu sandwich which looks way better in pictures. The bread was more moist than crispy, I had the paste of pesto only on one third, the taste was just blend. When I went to pay, in addition to be written on the check/receipt, the waitress asks if you want to add tips. Everybody knows that they can tip at restaurants, if they want to, no need to write it and ask for it.
