This place is new in Clinton, MA, but its Amazing!! - Edit
Woww! What a fabulous experience i had i the Vegan Nest, the chicken & waffles are to die for; great combination of flavours, the Tofu Bowl was a nice touch for that extra protein intake, remember to leave space for dessert because they have an exquisite variety of desserts.

Tried at NEVegFest2022, they were offering three menu items. I had the jalapeño macaroni and cheese, which was delicious. Will definitely eat their food again!

Really disappointing - Edit
With the good reviews, I wasn’t expecting this. I’m not sure if I caught it on an off day or what. There was only 1 worker there which I felt bad about, it took an hour for us just to get coffee and food when we were the only ones there. Not great ambiance, not very friendly service. Food was not as advertised - Just Egg instead of tofu scramble, no cashew cheese sauce, not good presentation. I’ve never written a review before but have been to countless vegan restaurants, but this experience was so negative that I had to write one because we spent so much money thinking it would be better. My smoothie was pretty good, but that was it. My family said the coffee was undrinkable. After the hour wait, the waiter said the waffle iron was broken even though we had already been there for an hour. Definitely a weird experience, but something to laugh about now. I’m all about supporting vegan restaurants as a vegan and I love trying new places, but this place was completely bizarre and disappointing for me and my family. Maybe it was just an off day or COVID understaffing related.

Hi there! So sorry as we are just seeing this. Yes we had some really significant staffing issues and we apologize for such an off experience! We would love the opportunity to make it up to you as we’ve since consolidated our operations so that our team is not spread so thin. Our location at 54 High Street in Clinton, MA is beautiful, extremely functional and well staffed …a much better representation of our standard. We simply outgrew the space in Worcester and it became too much to keep up with with limited staffing and three small kiddos. Feel free to email me at nicole@thevegannestcafe.com …we’d love to gift you a second try :)

If you happen to find yourself in Worcester, MA, check this place out. Wonderful burgers, sandwiches and salads. I had the pastrami reuben, which is made from wheat gluten with cashew cheese. I was barely able to finish it. My friends had burgers and baked fries, everyone loved their meal. Well worth the trip, and a restaurant worth your support.

So happy we stopped here on a road trip from NJ to ME! Food was excellent! My non-vegan boyfriend was blown away by the pastrami sandwich. I had the Buffalo chicken sandwich. Portion sizes were enough for 2 meals. Would highly recommend!

Delicious. - Edit
The food was super tasty; delightful and delicious! Staff and owner were all friendly. An abundance of choices which made it hard to choose. I had the spinach and Artichoke Panini and my partner had the Grain Bowl. We split a side of potato wedges and a berry smoothie. Everything tasted fresh. No doubt a winner and you can’t go wrong.
Read moreThe cafe is delightful and unpretentious. Nice choices for seating: some high tables, some standard low tables then there is a nice family room feel area with comfy chairs. The ceiling looks to be an original tin ceiling (painted) which layers in more character. However, the establishment is in need of a little TLC. The kitchen is small and they are busting at the seams to store there ingredients. Definitely in need of a organization re-do. But to me, none of this bothered me; it added to the charm.

Would not reccomend - Edit
called ahead and they didn't say anything. When we got there they were out of all "meat" and avocados. The food we tried spinach sandwicg and crepes were yum, but for the price mac and cheese portions were small. Also took a long time to get our food, and one persons didn't come for almost 20 min later. Overall pretty disappointing, we will not be going back. Very disappointing

Boyfriend (omni) and I came here for lunch. He got the pastrami sandwich, I got the French onion sandwich. The pastrami was good. The French onion was out of this world! BF was *amazed* the cheese was vegan. And the young lady behind the counter was super nice and friendly. We also had the smoothie she recommended and it was terrific. Would definitely go again!

Great Brunch! - Edit
My husband and I stopped by here for brunch and were not disappointed. The breakfast sandwich was really good! And creative.... Not your traditional vegan breakfast sandwich of veggies sausage and vegan cheese. The waffle was also excellent. One tip - be sure to order a chai latte! I ordered a turmeric latte and it was good, however, my husband's chai latte may be the best chai latter I've ever had. If you go there I highly recommend trying it. We'll be back!

Wow! Best Vegan Food In Worcester County! - Edit
I’ve been looking for a place like this since going vegan, as Worcester is pretty limited. 100% plant-based menu makes it easy to trust that the ingredients are all vegan. Delicious sandwiches. Very large portions. Can’t wait to go back and try more things. Owners are super friendly.

The Perfect Spot - Edit
This is my new favorite place! As someone new to the plant-based diet/veganism, I decided to try The Vegan Nest. I had heard great things about it. I was not disappointed. I went for the first time on Sunday and was already back for more on Saturday. I love the crepes and waffles, and the Strawberry Shortcake smoothie is fantastic.

Delicious food and nice people - Edit
Cute restaurant feels like you are in someone's living room or a coffee shop. When I went the couple that owns the place were there with their 3 children which were all very cute and the husband was the chef. There is a variety of options all of which include ingredients that are scratch-made. I had the hot pastrami and it was spectacular. The atmosphere was really inviting and I enjoyed my meal in the comfort of a sofa chair. A handful of other people came in when I was there and the owners seemed to know them. I would recommend it to anyone.

Great, cozy, comfortable place to eat, entirely vegan. I was not sure of what to order with so many interesting items, they were out of the "pastrami" sandwich, he said it goes fast, so I will arrive earlier next time cause I really want to try that. We bought the Caprese and Skillet Chik'n Cheese, both mind-blowing. I have no words to describe how tasty each item was. Go check it out asap.

So sorry we missed you on your road trip. Being a small family owned business with small children, we try to reserve just a couple of hours for prep and general family time since we are open 6 days a week (and the 30th was a special day as it was our little one’s birthday otherwise we would have gladly served you after hours). I hope that you get a chance to visit us next time you’re in town!

Excellent donation concept but very long waiting time - Edit
I was there on a Tuesday where apparently you could donate the money from your meal to people in need. I was really overwhelmed with the gesture of the owner, so all the money that the owner makes on Tuesdays goes directly to people in need. Really great gesture in today's world! 4 stars goes especially for this gesture.

As a suggestion, please end with the plastic cups for water, there is no need for that.

Cute little spot with good food but a little slow. - Edit
Food was great and I enjoyed the options. I understand with a small place like this the food may take longer (seemed to have one employee for weekday lunch). I just wish I had seen a review that it takes awhile as I was looking for a quick sandwich on the go passing through town. I would go back if I lived nearby for the food.

It’s alright - Edit
Went to this restaurant on a vacation to Massachusetts and it looked promising! The menu had a lot of tasty options so I ordered the Mac and cheese and the pastrami sandwich. It first of all smelled awful inside that my little brother could not stay in but the decor was nice. It was fairly expensive for very small portions and it took a while for my food to come out. When I got my food it tasted bland and the Mac and cheese with the pulled pork jackfruit was cold. The pastrami sandwich didn’t have anything going for it either it was just seitain and bread and even the seitain didn’t taste good.

Hi there! Thanks so much for stopping by to see us while on vacation. We’re so sorry to hear that your experience fell short of your expectations and did not meet our standards of service. From your photos, it looks like your pastrami sandwich may have been missing a component and while our Mac and cheese isn’t typically served with Jackfruit, it should not have been cold as we typically make it to order! As for the smell, I’m sure that was due to making seitan most of the morning... the smell tends to linger at times. Again, our apologies and we hope that you’ll stop by next time you’re in the area!
