my go-to vegan spot

They have the best kambucha the world has ever seen. It is truly raw with over 40 different probiotics. There is no sugar or alcohol content either.

Their food menu is truly vegan and organic. But what I like the best is there fermented food line, which they sell in mason jars to go. They also serve coldpressed juices it, and smoothies.

Love this place !!

awesome!

This is one raw café, if you enjoy raw vegetables this is a great place.

Pros: lentil soup, fresh juice, fermentation

Cons: small menu, no food for the little kids

A decent place for smoothies

I've been here three times for the smoothies. They have a wide variety of pickled preserves to choose from. The location isn't as bad as they say. There are actually a few more places to eat in the same plaza, and the interior is new with that new store feel. Please check it out!

Pros: Great Smoothies, Nice Staff, Lots of preserves

Cons: Not all dishes organic

Love this place

Great food and juice. They use a Norwalk juicer for juicing. I had never seen a Norwalk in person and asked for a glass of juice so I could watch the fun. It was a very educational process. The best juice I have ever had. We really enjoyed the chili, veggie meatball sandwich, and the Pad Thai. I can't wait to go back.

Vegan option on commercialized Okeechobee

Okay, the location isn't great, but it's welcoming inside. It could be cozier for a juice/coffee bar, and they definitely need too dump the plastics and styrofoam. However, my green organic, cold-pressed juice was amazing. It was $8 for each juice, which is expensive but reasonable. They have a soup bar with 4-5 vegan soups, and the soup is fairly priced. I ordered a raw pizza that was very good. I'm looking forward to going back and trying other entrees. I was told the vegan burger and the vegan meatball sub are very good. I hope they stay in business! Support the local vegan cafe! I'll add more to my review when I've tried more of the food options.

* I've gone back to the vegan cafe and tried the "Veggie Meatball Sandwich—$9.99 Fresh baked hoagie roll, full of whole grains and seeds. Stuffed with our in house made veggie meatballs and marinara sauce. Can also be served on a bed of greens and sprouts, instead of bread." It really is delicious. It's the right amount of food and has a good flavor.

I also tried the "Portabella Mushroom Caps— $7.99 A gently baked large portabella cap, cooled and topped with a flavorful blend of sprouted quinoa, sprouts and chopped veg- gies, avocado, and more." The mushroom cap (not caps, you only get 1) was good, but it was served over a small salad. It's really an appetizer, too small for a meal.

As to the soups, the chili tasted like black bean soup, not much like chili (no heat or chili flavor!) but a decent bean soup. The split pea soup was very good the last time I had it. The tomato soup was also good, but I would like it served with bread or something for texture.

Good food, bad location

My partner and I had dinner at the Vegan Cafe last night. The food was tasty and visually appealing. We both really enjoyed our chocolate thin mint smoothies. The service was attentive and friendly. I applaud their efforts. However, we were served on disposable dishes and utensils. This is environmentally incorrect and just does not sit right with me. You would expect this from a fast food restaurant, not a vegan restaurant. (They've only been open 2 weeks, so hopefully their dishes and utensils have been ordered and are on their way). Also, I do not care for the location. The cafe is located in a strip mall on the west side of town....not dangerous, but iffy. The other tenants in the plaza are businesses that seem to be the exact opposite of what a vegan cafe is all about...healthy lifestyle, environmentally conscious, and concerned for the welfare of animals. I don't see a lot people patronizing this restaurant, I hope I'm wrong. We plan on returning and wish them well.

Pros: Good food, Good value, Friendly staff

Cons: Used disposable dishes and utensils, Location
