Increasing options... - Edit
The review from 2018 mentions the roast not being up to much - it is still lacking a vegan Yorkshire pudding but there were more than 2 potatoes and it was cheap for a pub roast (these days... £10.50)
Read moreThey had a *delicious* vegan chocolate tart and coco-chocolate ice cream, which was a treat.
A staff member told me they are trying to expand their vegan options too, so, give them a go - a lovely pub anyway :)

Not as good as it could be - Edit
The pub is lovely, very cosy. Although it’s great to be able to have a vegan roast, the meal is a bit lacking: you’re served just two roast potatoes, no Yorkshire pudding (as they don’t make a vegan version) and not much roast veg. It’s nice but could be so much better. Also no vegan-labelled dessert when I went.

Sunday Roast - Edit
It was great to see a vegan option on a Sunday Roast menu. It was nice food, but not quite the type of roast I was hoping for. A bit bland. But I still ate it all up!! The banana cake dessert was lovely.

Nice pub, book in advance though - Edit
We arrived a bit earlier than our (vegan meetup) group and tried to order our food in advance as we had kids - only to hear "sorry, we've run out of all the vegan options already". After a bit of discussion it turned out that there was vegan food but it was being held back for the booking - would have been very disappointing if we'd just wandered in in the hope of a vegan meal, especially as the pub is slightly off the beaten track.
Read moreThe pub calls itself one of Greenwich's "best kept secrets" and it was quite nice on a spring day, with nice light indoor rooms and a small garden area for the kids to run around in. The vegan roast (polenta) might not have been truly mind-blowing for the price but it certainly did the job - the evidence being that the kids eagerly cleaned their plates. And some thought had been put into offering multiple dessert options, though once again I do feel like this might not have been the case if there hadn't been a big party booking well in advance. Good marks for effort though and I would certainly not be against a return visit...

Vegan Sunday Roast! - Edit
We were 11 vegans (2 children) visiting this pub on a Sunday afternoon.
Read moreThe roast:
"Roasted tomato & basil polenta cake w all the Sunday roast trimmings & vegetable gravy w roasted peppers"
with
"Roasted carrots, braised red cabbage, purple sprouted broccoli, roast potatoes"
The polenta cake didn't taste much and neither did the carrots or the broccoli. The red cabbage was good and the gravy wasn't too bad.
The best part of the dinner was the dessert. We were offered three options, and we asked to get two of them as one. The result was a banana cake with salted caramel ice cream (make: Almond Dream).
Pros: Friendly staff, Flexible and accommodating staff, The banana cake and salted caramel ice cream
