Not great but nice location - Edit
Lovely place to sit by the river, but they really struggled with four of us ordering sandwiches - they took over 30 mins and 4 attempts to make a vegan sausage sandwich on gluten free bread!

Lovely town hall cafe! - Edit
I had the vegan sausage and cheese toasted sandwich (without the red onion chutney) and it was so filling!!! Came with a basic side salad which paired well with the sandwich, though not anything special.
Read moreMe and my partner shared the coconut cake with chocolate ganache and it was very yum.
Most of the menu can be made vegan, and all vegan options are clearly labelled.
A good amount of tables including outdoor seating! Really lovely place for a simple lunch!

Hummus sandwich - Edit
Really loved the hummus and veg sandwich with a side salad that they do here. I’ve seen they’ve recently added a vegan sandwich which has falafel and roasted peppers in, too. Just wish there were more options!

Nice little cafe, lovely riverside terrace - Edit
Good value cafe run by local community charity. Basic but tasty food - vegan salads, soup, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, vegan cheese & cake on the menu with a range of hot, cold and alcoholic drinks (soya milk for tea). All priced a lot cheaper than most of the rest in town & the outdoor riverside terrace is a hidden gem! The cafe also acts as an art gallery for local artists, with a rolling programme of new work/projects, and hosts community groups & evening events.

Lovely spot, basic food - Edit
I did not choose this cafe myself but was happy to find that they had soya milk for coffees and offered vegan panini, soup and mezze. This is the sort of place that probably didn’t even have soya milk a year or two ago, so I feel it’s good to encourage them by choosing their vegan options.

Cons: Vegan items lack excitement
