Pleasantly surprised!! - Edit
** Already on Happy Cow under The Top House with more reviews** Very surprised to find a really good selection of Vegan options, biggest selection I've ever seen at a standard pub, I recommend the chickpea & mushroom curry if you like spice (photo included). I would also recommend bringing your own vegan mayo as the burgers don't come with sauce or cheeze on (they may offer this but I forgot to ask on my 2nd visit). They have a good selection of Vegan desserts. It's run by lovely friendly staff and has a very chilled local pub vibe. I recommend a visit but just bear in mind that it's standard pub grub 😄

Beware, mistaking vegan and vegetarian food - Edit
Ordered vegan chilli pizza and then they brought a pizza with standard dairy cheese on (it said violife cheese on menu). Swapped food with my partner who is veggie but had ordered an actually vegan meal as I couldn't be bothered sending food back. Then I ordered rhubarb crumble which was under 'Vegan Desserts' but I stressed to ask if it actually is vegan. Was told yes it was after staff member checked... then 5 mins later was told there was egg and milk in the crumble mix! Told em not to bother. Be careful if you have allergies as seems to be a lot of confusion here. Everyone else said the food was OK but nothing to write home about. Won't be back again.

Royston Vasey - Edit
Visited here on the back of positive reviews, but really wish we hadn't now, as our experience was awful.
Read moreStaff were very unfriendly and rude, often twisting their faces or muttering under their breath when we asked if they served juice or requested a spoon for our son. Another customer also got a sarcastic comment when they asked if they served coffee. This made for a very uncomfortable experience.
Food wise we ordered the Bangkok bad boy burger and a chicken burger, which both came with homemade chips and salad, plus a kids meal of chips, beans and nuggets.
The chips were nice, but that was the only thing that was homemade, as the burgers were shop bought, with no dressing on the salad either, making for a very dry lunch. There was also no slaw served with the chicken burger, but at this point we couldn't be bothered to tell the staff and just left as soon as we ate.
Pros: None
Cons: Staff , Food

Vegan options in a Filey pub! - Edit
The Station Hotel or Top House has currently changed to a take away due to COVID and introduced a vegan section to its menu! I tried the vegan vegetable burger in a brioche bun, with salad and chips and also the vegan lasagna with salad and chips. The lasagna was home cooked had a tomato and vegetable filling and topped with violife cheese. It was very good value for money. So great to have vegan options in Filey and know that there are plans to introduce more options like vegan hot dogs and pizza.

The vegan menu is now much bigger and being added to all the time. There is a choice of two vegan puddings and vegan ice cream. Pizza, garlic bread, coleslaw, vegan chilli to mention a few. There are actually too many options to list here! Check out the menu and get yourself there!

Awesome! - Edit
Me and my partner came here after our trip to the beach at Filey and we were so glad we visited this place, they have such an extensive range of food. Lots of vegan options to choose from and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Lovely cosy country pub! We will definitely be back when we visit Filey again!
