Choc mint ripple

I was so excited to see 4 flavours available at the Thornbury Picture House and even though I’d had a large meal I saved some room for a chocolate top while watching a film.

The wrapping says it all. Not too sweet so you can taste the flavour. The ice cream flavour was delicious with pieces of chocolate in it and I loved the choc top. Cone was delicious.

Makes me ask why can’t all ice cream be vegan.

The next step in vegan cinema treats

I noticed these in Thornbury Picture House when I was there a couple of weeks ago, so when I was meeting a friend for lunch and a movie this weekend it was my plan to try one out. I chose the choc mint ripple (because they were out of espresso martini flavour). The cutish packaging (recyclable? according to the website) doesn’t even have a brand on it from what I saw. I sat down in the cinema and lopened it. For some reason the night-vision camera function on my phone wasn’t working, so I couldn’t take the best photo. I’d have to say the choc top was pretty damn good. The ice cream was just solid enough to let you bite through the chocolate, but not too hard, and it was delicious. I was disappointed that TPH seems to be the only theatre selling these. Now that vegan popcorn is common in cinemas, this is the next step.
