Menu offers breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, scrambles, waffles, donuts as well as a variety of other lunch entrees and sandwiches. Various plant milks available for coffee drinks. Confirmed open May 2020. Open Wed-Sun 8:00am-2:00pm.

Cozy corner Vegan - Edit
1st time here. Street parking was challenging to find and a tight squeeze. This location is in a corner. Currently only pick up - no dine in option. They have you pick up and order from outside. Service was cold, unfriendly, and inefficient. She was not helpful with suggestions. She also did not write anything down and ultimately missed an entire entree from my order. I had their special of the day - a honey mustard chicken wrap with tater tots. Wrap was good. Good serving size and good flavor. Nothing special about the tots. Could have been an off day for service. I would come back and try again.

Didn't love diners, until now! - Edit
I never enjoyed going to diners because the vegan options were so limited. I have yet to find another 'vegan diner' out there, but even if I did I'm sure they couldn't compare to The Tasty. Everything we have had here has been incredible and has left us craving more for weeks after.

Lives up to the reviews! - Edit
This place was delicious! They have a great selection of breakfast/brunch options and we were so satisfied with what we got—. Breakfast burrito and chicken and waffles with the whipped cream and berries. They are only doing take out right now so we took the food across the street and ate in the sun at a picnic table in the park.

I absolutely adore their breakfast sandwiches and omelettes, but if you’re lucky enough to get there at a time when they’ve got their carrot cake pancake special it is to die for. They still don’t have indoor seating as of October 2022, but the park across the street has some nice picnic tables that make for a lovely breakfast.

A must in south Philly if you’re around in the morning. Tasty coffee with the accompaniment of a great donut! Dessert first then onto any one of their wonderful breakfast meals.

We ordered breakfast from The Tasty one morning and it was great! I had a tofu omelette with veggies and coconut bacon with home fries. The potatoes were delicious and the omelette had great flavor and plenty of veggies! The coconut bacon was small crispy pieces with no smoke flavor which is my favorite kind of bacon but if you like the more typical smokey or flavored strips of tempeh then this bacon probably isn't for you lol

The food is absolutely amazing however we were sad to see that they are still not allowing indoor dining. Having said that we picked up our food and ate it on the car. It was absolute magic! Best breakfast burrito ever!!! You must try this place!

This place tastes so good, it's as if Vegan Jesus himself individually kissed all of your tastebuds. My favorite French toast ever is here. Breakfast burrito is bangin and has delicious non-violent cheese. Why would anyone take baby cows away from their mothers and kill them when vegan cheese is this good? Why would anyone grind up baby male chicks alive when this tofu scramble is seasoned with such a delicate whisper of love and affection? I very much hope they open for in person dining again soon because that greatly enhances the experience.

This was the first stop on a vegan cheesesteak tour of Philly. This steak was very mediocre. The seitan was chewy, almost rubbery. There were meant to be caramelized onions on it, I couldn’t see nor taste any.

I want to give this place more stars so bad! There were lots of great classic diner options. We got the biscuits and gravy and a breakfast tofu scramble hoagie. They were good but just needed more seasoning. Just a bit bland. I’m sure we will be going back because it’s so close to our house, but with other great options for vegans around like Batter and Crumbs, Green Eggs, and Triangle Tavern it won’t be a go to unfortunately.

The tasty is such a fun place. The mismatched tables, chairs, and mugs give this diner a lot of charm. The food is possibly the best vegan food in philly. Order the fried chicken sammy with waffle fries (and possibly a side of chipotle mayo to dip your fries in)!

I got a nacho burrito which was delicious. In the burrito was tofu scramble, beans and tomatoes. I probably would’ve preferred more beans and less tofu. The cheese sauce on top was amazing! We also got tater tots and waffles fries which were awesome. The tempeh bacon was thick and not very crispy but the flavor was good. The biscuit was yummy and the sausage patty was decent. We also got donuts which were fantastic! Overall, great vegan experience.
