Amazing Homemade Vegan Sausages

This is a cute pub that offers quite a few vegan options. They have a few options for starter such as mushrooms on sourdough, and falafel. For mains they have a vegan burger, salad, or a trio of sausages. I ordered the vegan sausages which were clearly homemade and unlike any sausages I’ve had before! They were filled with vegetables and were just so delicious. It came with a large portion of peas and you can choose mash or chips with it. Now I ordered the chips but I was given the mash by accident instead. I didn’t know if the mash was vegan but the waitress said it was so I ate it anyway. They did bring me out the chips after though and they were amazing chips! You can choose between three different sauces but I chose the onion gravy which was a thick, sweet and tasty homemade gravy and topped the dish off! I would like it if they labelled clearly all of their vegan options as things like the sides and the mash and sauces weren’t labelled. I ordered a side of vegetables which weren’t labelled but I assumed they were vegan and when I ate some of it I think it was cooked in butter so I left it. I would just like it all to be more clear so that you don’t have to ask. They had a massive selection of desserts such as apple crumble, a chocolate and orange torte and a huge range of unusual flavour vegan ice creams. I would like to return and try some more things on their menu as the food was delicious. Despite the waiters getting a few of the orders wrong and some labels missing; i loved my meal there and would recommend as a good pub for vegans!

Pros: A range of vegan options, Cosy pub, Good value and homemade food

Cons: Lacking on allergen/vegan labels , Some orders were wrong

Beautiful country pub with delicious vegan options!

Highly recommended for vegans and vegetarians, menu has clearly marked options for both alongside more 'traditional' menu items (which is a treat considering the typical difficulty finding suitable food in a more rural location!) The new vegan risotto and vegan sausage and mash were delicious, and we were impressed by the vegan option for fruit crumble. See photos for current menu!

The staff are always attentive and helpful, and the atmosphere is cozy and lovely inside but we chose to sit in the beautiful big garden to enjoy the weather. Lovely to be back after lockdown, & very much looking forward to our next visit!

Pros: Delicious vegan food in a beautiful location, dog friendly, family friendly, about 15 mins from M5, free parking

Cons: Advised that menu changes - accurate July '21

We went to have dinner with friends on a last minute as the place we reserved was double booked. I asked for cauliflower burger and for started caramelised onion and vegan cheese tart that was fine

Pros: At least 2 vegan options

Cons: A bit pricey

Bland, not many vegan options

Came here for lunch with mum. Both of us had burgers; she had the roasted pepper and Halloumi burger and I had the battered cauliflower burger.

Both of our lunches were too greasy and made us feel bloated. We were expecting a small salad but instead we got deep fried onion rings. It was really our fault but to be honest the menu isn’t very clear - there’s no special vegan section so the burger was the only thing I could spot.

The chips were incredible and the vegan mayo was served with garlic in it and that gave it a very much needed injection of flavour. The problem for me is that the fact I love cooking with cauliflower but this was not marinated in anything - just basic cauliflower deep fried. It was ok - but nothing special at all. Bland. Mum found her burger very rubbery.
The staff were very friendly and nice.
It was too pricey for what it was. The chips were amazing and the onion rings were nice too but too much deep frying! A side salad would have been much better.

It would be lovely to have a proper vegan section so it would be easier to see what’s available. Any good chef must know this burger needs flavour! I’m better at making vegan burgers myself at home! The garlic mayo was ace though. They made a really nice presentation of the food.

Pros: Nice staff, Nice atmosphere

Cons: Expensive for what it is, Bland; greasy , Hard to spot vegan options and not much choice
