Veggie chili not vegetarian - Edit
Veggie chili is made with beef broth! What a trap, I’m sure a lot of vegetarians have mistakenly ordered this.
Read moreThere was nothing vegan on the menu, I had to modify the middle eastern salad to remove cheese, and the waitress still didn’t know if that was fully vegan.
Everybody enjoyed their food though

Great patio - Edit
I ordered a vegetable sandwich (sprouts tomato and avocado if I remember correctly) minus the Swiss cheese and Mayo, added mustard, came with potato chips. It was good! Very simple but good.

Cons: Not sure if bread was vegan, More vegan options would be nice

Soup is good ski fuel - Edit
A bit disappointed in the lack of vegan soup options. The only vegan option was the veggie chili, which was a good hearty stew, but tasted nothing like chili. The special was veggie onion soup but it is made with animal broth. I hope the other veg heads ask about that. There are wrap and salad options — just ask for items to be made vegan.

Good vegan chili - Edit
The Stew Pot is the oldest standing restaurant in Snowmass Village. We sat upstairs by the large window. Plenty of original character to the building which means there's some charm to the place, no doubt.
Read moreVery happy that they had vegan chili after a day out in the cold. We tried:
- vegan chili plate: a burrito with vegan chili (hold cheese and sour cream) in a spinach tortilla. Topped with avocado and salsa. Came with a large salad.
- cup of chili. the vegan chili was so good that we had to order more. Heavy on the beans and slightly on the sweet side
- spinach salad with mushrooms (no cheese)
Other than good food, and open nice ambiance upstairs, everyone was really nice. However, must note that they sell lamb.

Awesome chili - Edit
Great vegan chili (if ordered without cheese) and fresh salads. Some vegetarian soup options usually also on daily menu. Very good Mediterranean salad (can modify to make vegan).

Delicious and healthy - Edit
I ate at The Stew Pot while staying at snowmass village following a recommendation from my hotel. Although the restaurant serves meat, it has several vegetarian options and gladly accommodates vegans by offering to remove cheese/mayo. Every section of the menu includes vegetarian options so there is a pick of sandwiches, salads, and a great vegetarian chili. I highly recommend the portobello mushroom panini with avocado added. Only downside is the prices but in the Aspen Snowmass area nothing is cheap.
