Not a happy Easter lunchtime experience

Having left a complimentary review a while back, following a nice evening meal, I was somewhat disappointed at the service I received from a recent lunchtime visit. Firstly, my salmon was not cooked through properly; the staff did give me another but it took some time to arrive. Secondly, I ordered a dessert which I had to chase up. When a staff member brought it out of the kitchen, most of the ice cream had already melted. Shame it couldn't be a repeat of my previous visit.

Good Options

On the first day that I visited the customer service experience wasn't great. One female member of staff was quite abrupt with us and very unhelpful. There was a male member of staff who was on at the time who was much nicer otherwise it would have been terrible. The dishes I tried were just OK and I was convinced the ice-cream they gave me wasn't the vegan one.
Edit: Came for a second visit about a couple of weeks later and the experience was much better. This time I tried a different dish and really enjoyed it. The buffalo cauliflower was very tasty and I also had the aubergine bake which was tasty and a good portion.

Great vegan menu, nice location and friendly staff

This is a pub which is in a nice location overlooking a park. They had just started their new vegan menu the day that we went there. Aside from the vegan menu, which includes starters, mains and desserts, they also have many items on the main menu marked up as being able to be made vegan.

I ordered the jacket wedges with pulled jackfruit and the mushroom pie. Both were great, but in particular it's a bit unusual to be able to get a vegan pie. My mother, who isn't vegan, ordered the B12 vegan burger and said it was one of the best burgers she's ever had.

The staff were friendly and the manager came over a couple of times to ask about the food.

A few pub chains have started doing vegan menus recently, but I'd say this one top the lists, at least in terms of pubs in our area.

Pros: Good selection of vegan options, Tasty food and decent portion sizes, Nice location
