3.5/5 – Tasty pizza - Edit
The Stable is a nice, big restaurant with a modern decor set in a lovely spot by the harbourside. They have a great vegan selection (labelled plant based on the menu) with a veggie/vegan menu section in which every veggie option can be made vegan. They also have QR codes on the tables which you can use to order and pay with if you wish.
Read moreWe went for the plant-based Cheesy Garlic Bread, Hakuna Burrata pizza and a side of ‘Aioli Wanna Be With You’ Tater Tots. The pizza was really tasty! It was well cooked, had a tasty flavour and the Burrata was lovely and creamy and made it even better. The Cheesy Garlic Bread was also good, although I wasn't blown away. I was less a fan of the Tater Tots – I found the texture of them a little dry and odd, and I didn't feel like the garlic and herb sauce had a lot of flavour. That said I feel The Stable is worth a visit if you're just looking for a place in the area for a pizza, as the pizza was good!
Pros: Tasty pizza, Good selection, Can order and pay by QR code
Cons: Tater Tots were dry

Great pizza! - Edit
I ate here while on a 2-day impromptu trip to Bristol. Me and the person I was with ordered a "No Porkies" pizza (reduced from £13.75 to £7 - don't mind if I do) and an "Aubergine Kenobi" pizza and we shared them between each other. Both pizzas were very good and I was surprised that I actually really liked the "No Porkies pizza", despite not being very keen on fake meats. The pizza is topped with vegan minced "pork" which I've never had on a pizza before but I really enjoyed it. The vegan cheese was excellent and the thin sourdough base also. One of the best pizzas I've had, I think.
Read moreWith the pizzas we drank cider and beer. I had my first ever alcohol-free beer, which initially didn't quite hit the spot the way I remember ordinary beer doing, but throughout the meal it grew on me. My first beer in a long time!
Overall coming here was a good experience and I would recommend visiting if you're looking for somewhere to eat in Bristol 🌱

Great for an easy pizza tea and drinks - Edit
Went for a pre-gig tea and it was great! Plenty of vegan options and crazy good prices. I had a tasty pizza, brownie with ice cream, alcohol free cocktail and a coffee all for about £20. The music was standout, cool chilled vibes and really friendly staff😄

Good pizzas! - Edit
I loved the vegan garlic bread. Always judge a pizza place by its garlic bread. The ciders are okay but I'm just not a cider kinda gal!

Good pizza. Good cider. - Edit
Loads of good ciders, if you’re into that. Loads of good pizzas, if you’re into that. I think you’d be hard pressed to find someone who’s into neither so come on down! (This reviewer is in no way affiliated with The Stable, he just appreciates good cider and pizza)

Good food, poor service - Edit
We tried the Porkless Pepperoni (plus 2 extra toppings) and the Build Me Up Buttercup pizzas - both were fab, probably one of the best vegan pizzas we’ve had. We also had the vegan brownie which was superb.
Read moreOverall, food was great although service was poor (or really just non-existent) - we had to chase for menus, cutlery, etc. I’m not sure if service would have been had we sat inside.

Decent Vegan Pizza on the Harbour - Edit
This was a tasty vegan pizza. A lot of their pizzas can be adapted to be made vegan which is good. I had the margarita pizza with vegan cheese and added pineapple. The toppings were decent and tasty; the vegan cheese was quite nice but I wasn’t a fan of the dough base. It looks super doughy and thick but it’s actually really crispy and crunchy. I prefer a doughy pizza so the crust wasn’t for me. It’s a really nice restaurant if you sit out by the Harbourside on a nice day like I did. I wouldn’t rush back here for pizza though because it just wasn’t to my preferred taste.

Fantastic food - Edit
I visited here on a Saturday evening in June. I have to say the quality of the food was amazing.
Read moreWe had a vegan pepperoni pizza, a garlic bread as a starter, garlic & herb dip (all dips offered were vegan) and a bowl of kicking Cajun Tater tots (again all 3 tater tots sides were vegan).
The garlic bread came as a starter and was simply amazing I thought. Then the pizza and Cajun tater tots came out along with the dip, and everything was just outstanding.
Service was very friendly, with good live music there that evening too.
I would definitely return.
Pros: Quality of the food, Options of pizzas, sides & dips
Cons: Maybe more vegan pizza options could be offered

Nice tasty pizza - Edit
There is a range of vegan pizzas, sides and deserts. I just had a vegan pepperoni pizza, so nice and simple but really tasty.
Read moreThe base is quite thin and can be a a little flaky but was really nice, with puffy crusts and the vegan cheese and toppings were plentiful and delicious.

What’s not to like?! This is a must if you’re eating with others who resist going to an entirely vegan place.

Great for a vegan option in a 'mainstream' environment - Edit
Some great tasting, well labelled, vegan pizzas and salads served here, with plenty of ciders and lagers on tap (though check these are vegan before purchasing via Barnivore). Busy atmosphere, professional service, a good place to eat and very handy for amenities in the area.
