Excellent all round - Edit
Top veeg options halfway between Drymen and Aberfoyle. Always a couple of specials and the regular menu has plenty of options - soup, burger, falafel, mushroom pâté, toastie… Cosy spot with cool atmosphere and always terrific service. Highly recommended

Great experience - Edit
Had an excellent vegan meal with a good coffee.
Read moreSmall place part of a wider theme "Tir na nOg" with two shops, complementary therapy centre (not my thing) and forest walks.
Popped in for a coffee, went for a walk, got a meal, bought a carving and spent too much on incense.
Pros: Vegan options, Vegetarian options
Cons: Meat options (minimal)

Healthy vegan food including cakes and coffees - Edit
Friendly helpful cafe that makes healthy vegan food options including soups, cakes, and dairy free drinks. Had some delicious creamy vegan mushroom soup, and some lovely falafels with salad. Each day they create homemade style vegan dishes, also had some very tasty vegan pate and gluten free oatcakes. Adapted all dishes to vegan including vegan coleslaw. Catered for gluten free as well, and is dog friendly. Next door is a crystal shop with lovely gifts and charms, as well as a holistic therapy rooms, we visited these and had a beautiful walk around the local grounds, there is a trail through the woods you can take. Cafe also has lots of outdoor benches. A real gem.

I wanted to love this place - Edit
We visited this wee cafe for lunch, my friend and I both got the soup which was nice and I had the vegan sausage and caramelised onion ciabatta for main. I asked for no salad or coleslaw as the coleslaw is made with mayonnaise and it came with both, salad had some sort of honey-mustard dressing on it too. The bread was really hard, wasn't a ciabatta and just not very nice to eat, the sausage was just crumbling around like a stuffing texture, very dry. Sad because I'd seen such good reviews about this place!

Delicious food with good vegan options - Edit
A nice cafe with friendly staff. Vegan options such as homemade soup, sausage and caramelised onion sandwich with a choice of side salad, falafel with salad and beetroot hummus, a couple of vegan cakes etc. Tasty food and there are a couple of gift shops next door and a wooded area to walk around with fairy doors on the trees.

Lovely place, friendly staff, and delicious food! - Edit
My wife and I just went here and I really recommend it. The restaurant is in a beautiful building and shares a courtyard with a pair of small gift shops.
Read moreSoup Dragon itself is a lovely little cafe with fun dragon themes decor which feels more quaint old country than bright and in your face.
As for the food, they had a good range of vegan options and both my wife and I had the vegan sausage and caramelized onion sandwich with side salad and a broccoli, pea and basil soup.
The sandwich was delicious, a great size, texture and taste, the side salad was even better than expected with a nice range of ingredients and tasty dressing, and the soup was lovely!
I washed mine down with a coffee which was great!
Highly recommend it, and whilst we are only in the area for a few days, I think there's a good chance we'll be going back.
Pros: Lots of tasty vegan options , Great coffee , Friendly staff

Short break on the way to Drymen, we have seen the Tir na nOg ads alomg the road 3 times… so the 4th time we had to stop. And that was an amazing choice!

Great for lunch - Edit
We visited the cafe today while visiting Harmony Fields animal sanctuary, on the same premises. There was a good range of vegan options available. I had the homemade vegan sausage and caramelised onion ciabatta and celeriac and lime soup, followed by chocolate fondant cake. Everything was delicious and good value for money. The animal sanctuary is small but lovely.

A brilliant place to eat! - Edit
The staff were so friendly and almost everything was vegan or vegetarian! So amazingly out of place in Loch Lomond! I strongly recommend the falafel salad.

Great cafe - Edit
I'm not sure why this gets such mixed reviews on here. There are loads of vegan options, I had the page, it was all homemade including the bread. It had a nice friendly atmosphere and they were great with our fussy kids

Weird but nice place - Edit
This is definitely one of the best places to get vegan food in the southern Loch Lomond area, but you need a car to get here. The cafe is surprisingly popular given their location and the food on offer is nice but not very cheap (about 8 pounds for soup and sandwich).
Read moreOn first glance, everything appears to be quite alternative, but the gift shop next door is such a weird commercial business. Plus they have an animal sanctuary but serve meat - all in all very inconsistent.
Pros: Nice food in rather remote location
Cons: Weird / inconsistent business

Incorrect labelling - Edit
I went here last weekend and ordered a pasta dish which was clearly marked vegan. The dish came served with garlic bread which, when I checked with the kitchen, turned out not to be vegan. Staff didn’t appear overly concerned that a non-vegan item was being served with a dish labelled vegan. My parted was also given a packet of butter with her soup despite clearly asking if the soup was vegan.

Relaxed little cafe with many vegan options - Edit
The Soup Dragon Cafe is in a fantastic location not far from Loch Lomond; even the gravel car park has spectacular views! Entry is through a cute little courtyard alongside the other parts of Tir Na Nog Holistic Centre, immediately giving a relaxed and welcoming feel. There are some outdoor tables in this courtyard, where you can sit with dogs (who can't go into the cafe itself). For a small cafe menu, there are plenty of vegan options, including breakfast sandwiches, salad, pasta, and changing specials of soup and pate dishes. The soup and pate we had were yummy. There was also a cake cabinet, and on our visit this had one vegan chocolate traybake, which we tried and was OK too, though I thought the savoury offerings were much tastier. There were different plant milk options available for hot drinks, including hemp milk.
Read morePros: Plenty of savoury vegan options, Relaxed atmosphere and spectacular location, Dogs allowed in the outside courtyard
Cons: Could maybe improve the vegan cake options?, Serves meat as well

A wonderful find - Edit
Camping in the Trossachs, we found this gem of a place through Happy Cow. We had one of the soups - delicious, the vegan haggis sandwich - delicious, the penne - delic...you get the idea. Can't recommend it highly enough, the decor was colourful and the atmosphere chilled and pleasant as well.

Little veg-friendly oasis! - Edit
On our way to Buchanan castle (amazing find btw!), driving along stirling road we happened to pass a sign for this place. Wanting coffee, my fiancé, my dad and I stopped to check it out. After parking in the gravel parking lot, we walked to the into the beautiful magically themed courtyard (not over the top, but a perfect touch!)
Read moreAfter entering the Soup Dragon Cafe we noticed a few vegan options on the daily specials board, glancing at the menu we saw it was peppered with vegetarian and vegan options, and upon ordering our coffee, we discovered to our delight that there were four options for vegan “milks”!
There was also a display case with 5 baked goods, two of which were vegan (the one we tried [fondant pastry I think] was out of this world!)
We tried a vegan haggis roll (super tasty), as well as the sausage sandwich (also good).
Can’t recommend this place enough! The atmosphere was perfect, everybody was very nice, the food was delicious and reasonably priced, the shop also seemed to sell post cards and a few other things. There was a community book shelf of donated books in the courtyard as well, and if we hadn’t been in such a rush we would have undoubtedly stayed longer to enjoy the area!
Perfect place to stop by if your ever driving by Killearn or Ballfron — it’s right on the way to Buchanan Castle and queen Elizabeth forest park if you’re coming from the stirling area. It’s right off the main road, and is easy to access.
Pros: Awesome selection of veg/vegan options, tasty too!, Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, quaint, Nice Scottish theme, indoor/outdoor seating, cozy!
