A wonderful homely experience

The moment we walked in we could feel the stress of the world lifting from our shoulders. The smell, decor, atmosphere and staff made a combined experience which felt so chilled out and relaxed. So many choices of tea and always a tea of the day made up for visitors to try. Staff are good at recommendations of what to try too.

Visited a second time today 13th Nov 24. Called in to Sondes of Selling on way to Canterbury/Dover today.

Kristy had a Turmeric Oat Milk Latte, and I had an amazing orange and spice tea. They are an amazing tea house with real tea not sweepings off the floor.

We also shared vegan chocolate as well as a carrot cake. Also delicious!

We took away a couple of vegan sausage rolls which tasted amazing.

So wish we lived closer.

Excellent lunch!

Popular vegetarian place with small food shop adjacent. Many kinds of tea, coffees, cold drinks. For the main meal, you choose one hot dish - three choices were vegan - and then a colourful array of vegan sides are arranged on an oblong platter and served to your table. Sides include hummus, olives, potato salad, slaw, edamame beans, etc. All tasty. A very good meal. I chose the Nut Wellington (puff pastry) for my hot item, and it was very good and filling. There were attractive-looking desserts available, cakes and ice cream, some of the cakes being vegan and at least one gluten-free. Wonderful to find a good vegetarian eatery in a small village. The Village Shop had fresh produce, deli items, baked goods and treats. (The building was formerly the Sondes Arms pub.)

Pros: several vegan options
