I am happy a sushi place exists in this area that actually has vegetarian/vegan rolls listed on their menu. I ordered the chef’s special. I would definitely recommend this laid back spot. Very quick and friendly service.

Slippery Mermaid has spoiled me when it comes to vegan sushi. One of the chefs is vegan so he has a vested interest in making tasty vegan rolls. They’re always different with a variety of fruits/veggies/ sauces/toppings. You seriously wouldn’t even know they’re vegan. They’re so good. I love how creative they are with the rolls they put out. You never know what you’re going to get.

Read moreFirst time eating here for lunch with my husband and family. My husband and I were highly impressed with the vegan sushi! We ordered the “Green Mermaid” (which is on their menu) and we asked for the Chef’s vegan roll with tofu. Our meal was fairly priced for getting two specialty rolls and spicy edamame for an appetizer. We had friendly service and it didn’t take very long to be seated for a Saturday during lunch rush. We never had vegan sushi at a restaurant (we’ve only made it at home), so this makes it extra special to be able enjoy it while dining out with family who are non-vegan.

Before I was vegan I did not care for seafood. But now, thanks to slippery Mermaid I can enjoy vegan sushi! It's not on the menu, but all you have to do is ask for a "vegan roll" and the vegan chefs will whip you up something amazing! I always ask for a roll with tofu and it's always different, but perfect.
