The Only Time A Resturant Has Made Me Physically Sick - Edit
Mold particles floating in the water jug, food crusted on the silverware, sticky tables, long wait.
Read moreOn to the food: Outstandingly horrible. Tried the waffles and gnocchi. Waffles were dry, grainy and overly sour; the syrups served were just lightly flavored sugar syrups - no maple in sight. The gnocchi was overcooked, dense and very sweet and musty flavor - couldn’t believe it. Must be a german thing to torch your food beyond recognition, and leave a horrid taste in your mouth. Yikes.
Threw up later in the day and the meal will haunt me for a lifetime; so in a way great bang for your buck. Memorable!
Good bathroom though. The one with the Big Eyes paintings, not the one where your knees would touch the door if you sat on the toilet.

Read moreI am not one to bash a small buz for something small, but this was really bad... I went to The Slide Inn today, and was surprised the place was still running. They barely passed their recent health report in Feb, the food was not worth the price (and some was burnt), and the server (and cook, and owner?) preferred Venmo for payment, to his personal venmo (to avoid taxes, or some other shady reason?)
More reasons to not go to this restaurant can be found in this google review (https://g.co/kgs/jFDNbt3), which I sadly saw after we ate and wanted to see if our gut was right about the place feeling "off." I had some similar experiences (like sticky utensils), and noticed the server had blood around his thumb nail and dirty fingernails. Major YIKES!

We visited here because of the online menu indicated what appeared to be several vegan options for dinner. The asterisks on the menu made it appear that several items had gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options. The menu was labeled confusingly and there were much fewer vegan options. I had the gnocchi- which were ok but not why we visited. Staff was friendly but it was odd that we were the only diners.

Popped in for some pasta, it was Sunday around 7:30pm. They only had a shortened happy hour menu out for a weekly comedy show-but we wanted full portions.

We got our food and got in a few good laughs, and left with full bellies.
It's a chill unassuming place. Will go back for more off the regular menu. The bartender was serving drinks left and right, everyone there seemed extremely well taken care of.
The food was also good!

I've always wanted to love this place. It has a great energy about it and I went to a good comedy show there once. However, the food my boyfriend and I ordered was inedible. Very literally... we could not eat it.

Nice Vegan options and an extensive choice for anyone else. They do gluten free options. The apple fritter appetizer is amazing and they were awesome enough to make it vegan so everyone at the table could share! Very accommodating and a nice casual atmosphere. A bit retro. A bit Austrian ski lodge. A lot Portland. But ultimately a great choice for breakfast for Vegans or omnivores.

I went here for brunch. My boyfriend got to tofu scramble and I got the waffle. The tofu scramble was delicious. My waffles was horrible. It was very hard. Also I was disappointed by the lavender syrup. I love lavender and was really excited to try it but it was more like a syrup you sweeten drinks with rather than something that gets poured over waffles. I might try their dinner menu one day but I'm in no hurry.

I had the gnocchi, which are made vegan and gluten free, also had the tofu sausage served with house fermented kraut.
I'm going back for those kale chips too!
Next on my list is to try their brunch, my mouth is watering already just thinking of the menu!
