Deserves five stars!

We had the vegan lazanki and a vegan apple pie sort of dish for dessert. The lazanki was one of my favorite meals ever, including before I became vegan. The pasta was full of flavor, and the side veggies were the perfect, fresh addition to the meal. The apple pie wasn’t too sweet - lovely flavor. The owner was also very kind and welcoming. Happy to have had such wonderful vegan options available.

5 stars café / restaurant

3 dishes are vegan on the menu. We tried 2: the vegan bigos and the vegan lazanki. They were both excellent!! Highly recommended.

Warm and homely

2 vegan main options and 1 vegan starter. Owner was incredibly accommodating and very apologetic for not having a vegan dessert option but encouraged to call ahead next time and he will make something

Pros: Homely, Authentic , Affordable

Really enjoyed trying vegan Polish food

Had never had Polish food before, and assumed that it would be very meat based, so was excited to go here and have excellent vegan food.

Menu changes regularly, and we booked in advance for dinner as they get very busy in the evening.

Two vegan starters on the day we visited: Soup of the day (Beetroot) and pasta dish, which could be either a starter or main. For main I had aubergine bake, which was excellent.

Surprise salad

Well worth a visit for homemade food. I chose vegan surprise salad and it was delicious. The surprise is that it’s salad LOL

Pros: Vegan owner so there’s a good understanding , Popular with locals, Interesting menu

Cons: Popular so you may need to phone to book table, A communal table available which was fun

Clear menu, friendly staff, homely and welcoming

We regularly visit here when we come to Penzance. The hosts are always friendly and the salads are fantastic. The hot food also yum. It's nice to get veggie and vegan polish food as a bit of an alternative to the usual places we go and I was delighted to find this place in Penzance!

Beautiful restaurant, wonderful staff

I came here with my meat eating family, despite their initial reservations that I would have chosen "some hippy vegan place" and all were pleasantly surprised.

Formerly known as The Polish Café, there are still a number of Polish specialties particularly the stuffed cabbage leaves which went down very well.

The staff were absolutely delightful, especially the woman (whose name I did not get) who was wonderful, really polite and friendly.

It's obviously been recently renovated and the artwork and furnishings really make it a beautiful place. I would definitely recommend a visit.

My only issue was that, despite offering vegan starters and mains, there were no vegan deserts - but they do provide soya milk for a coffee/tea.

Pros: Wonderful staff, Good value, Beautiful decor and furnishings

Cons: Limited vegan choice, Unclear drink options (we should have asked)

I'm so glad you enjoyed your meals. We have now added the information to our menu that we have soya milk - thank you.
We will experiment with some vegan desserts. Maybe some frozen ones. It's hard for us because we end up wasting food at the end of the day if we haven't had vegans inand we don't like waste!
Please come again. Tomasz and Dagmara
