Decent vegan options and a few cakes - Edit
We had a vegan Cornish pastie and sausage sandwich with chips and crisps, coffee with oat milk and took away a couple vegan brownie and a piece of biscoff cake. They also had vegan ice cream but it was too cold for that on our visit 😅 They had a vegan breakfast on the menu as well as toasted sandwiches.

Welcome coffee & cake stop - Edit
Coming towards the end of a wet and soggy walk The Sill was a welcome refuge from the weather. They were due to close so no hot food available but they did have Biscoff cake and really good coffee. Friendly staff and an airy modern space. 🙂

Nice place. Only one cake. A bit small. - Edit
My kids love calling in here and going on the roof. The cafe is nice with outside seating but only one vegan cake which was a brownie. It was a bit small and had been refrigerated which made it less tasty.
Read moreHad a pie and hummiuse sandwich on the menu too though which was well labelled.
Pros: Great view and walks
Cons: Poor cake choice

Great place to get a snack after a long walk - Edit
Great stop off after having a long walk along Hadrian’s wall.
Read moreThe venue is light, bright and large. There is seating outside also.
The staff lovely, even though they were short staffed and busy. It took a little while to be seated even though there was empty tables.
The food choices were good for vegans, they had soup, a pasty, vegan cheese sandwich or toasted panini, etc.
We had a cheese toasty and a pasty which were lovely and just what we needed after our walk.
There is a huge car park nearby where walkers park to walk up to the wall. You have to pay but it’s at a reasonable price.
Pros: Some good vegan options , Nice staff, Lovely location
Cons: Not all vegan

Vegan lunch menu after Hadrian's wall hike - Edit
Pleasant surprise to see vegan options on the café's lunch menu. Potato and leak soup served with bread, and Keralan cauliflower curry filled pasty. Not a lot of items on the menu but it's a cafe not a restaurant. Friendly staff and good prices.
