Amazing vegan options

Lots of options for vegan food (over half the menu), couldn't make my kind up, so ordered two things; both delicious. Alli the server was lovely and helpful too.

I forgot to take a pic of my burrito because I dug in right away! But it was delightful. Got the Vegan Rizo burrito which comes with chips and salsa. Options here like vegan beef, vegan turkey, vegan cheese. Vegan cookies too. Would def come back with a friend or something! Right off the PCH by the beach

Pros: Lots of options, Relaxing, Nice staff

good breakfast!

We had never been before and are visiting from out of town. We are not vegan, but are vegetarian. My daughter is not a fan of pancakes, but we could not find anywhere healthier and so we decided to try it. We got the strawberry banana pancakes with potatoes. The potatoes were excellent (I added salt, since none really on them, but this way I could add to taste). The pancakes: she actually liked them! :) I found them to be good but a tiny bit in the gummy side, but not the IHOP type white flour pancakes. There 3 good sized pancakes. That said I would still go back. We were sharing so I did not try something else.

Pros: healthy breakfast options!, lots of vegan/vegetarian options

Cons: Was cold inside - door open and fan on, limited seating if with a group. Only 3 tables ins

Tuesday is Vegan Night!

I stopped by for the first time on a Tuesday night. As I was checking out the specials, I noticed that Tuesday is vegan night! With tax, it's $6 for any vegan item! Not that this place is expensive; the max price is around $10, but I was so surprised and elated to find a night dedicated to vegans. So much better than Taco Tuesday!

The staff was chill and friendly. The food was great. After much deliberation (the menu is extensive and almost anything can be made vegan), I ordered the Fall Special Burrito to go. It was still piping hot after the 25 minute drive home. So filling and good! I thought it was the perfect size, too: not so big that you're in a food coma after, but definitely enough to fill you up.

I cannot wait to go back and try all of their other items. If you're looking for a cheap, healthy, and satisfying meal in the form of a comforting burrito*, this is the place to go!

*They have sandwiches, salads, wraps, tacos, bowls, and breakfast items (served all day), but I feel like this place is known for their burritos.

Pros: Cheap, Delicious, Great Vibes

Cons: They run out of various items often, Small/limited seating

great little place!

Great eatery for vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores! They had really yummy and interesting cookies! They have really great juices and smoothies and really good burritos and wraps. My sister is vegetarian and my Dad is an omnivore, and we all easily found something to eat! The wait wasn't terrible, and it was sooo worth it!

Pros: incredible food , short wait, reasonably priced

Cons: not a great location

Secret Spot is in my Dreams

I try to make the 5 mile bike ride up to Bolsa Chica as often as possible to eat the Vegan Soyrizo breakfast burrito. Literally just thinking about it makes my mouth water OH MY! I take my non vegan friends and they leave raving about it too! The staff is incredible! They are super passionate about their food and I even got a free cookie once from the owner ;) I'll proudly say Secret Spot is my favorite spot!!

Pros: BEST FOOD EVER, Incredible staff, Good prices!

Cons: Not much seating

a good post Surfing / Kayaking destination

After my sister and niece and I finished kayaking, we hopped on over to this yelp recommendation. Originally a juice bar for many years, the current owner purchased it and made it a small restaurant. Too small actually, because it's so well frequented by it's clientele, we had to wait in line outside the door. But we were fortunate to snag a table.

My sis got the Grilled Cheese Sandwich which had Perfect Toast, great chips, very smooth cheese. My niece loved her Shrimp Tacos saying they were a good combination of flavors. I got the HB Surround Sound Burrito with grilled tofu– good BBQ Sauce, but becomes overwhelming by the end of the burrito and the Ginger Lemonade which was on special with a little too much ginger.

There's cool paintings, sketches, and photography for sell on the walls ranging from $20 to $100 with an overall surfer theme.

Veg out,

Lots of Vegan Options

The Secret Spot has lots of vegan options for a non-veg location. In fact I would say most items are vegetarian or vegan (It would have been nice if the items were more clearly marked rather than having to read through all the descriptions of their extensive menu. But it seems that most items can be veganized with a simple request to their friendly staff). I got the Veganrizo Breakfast Burrito and it was good. My bf got teriyaki tacos which were also good. The food tasted fresh, and it had a homecooked feel to it. They have a large juice and smoothie menu with soy milk options. They have vegenaise but no vegan cheese. They have hummus, salads, bowls, sandwiches, breakfast burritos, tacos. I only mention all of this because they have no website. They also had cramped seating arrangements (I went on a Saturday, perhaps during the week it's easier to get a table). You can expect it to take up to 20 minutes for your food as it did ours, however they are making the food fresh so it is understandable and kind of fits the laid back beach atmosphere of the place. The workers are friendly, and the prices are fairly inexpensive(7.50 for breakfast burrito w/chips and salsa). Though I would not drive out of my way to go here again, they have great vegan options for people who are local to the area, or tourists. It is an easy walking distance to the beach from here as well. Secret Spot is not easy to see from the street, but once you turn into the gas station lot you will see it along the side of the shopping center. Check it out next time you're in Huntington.

Pros: fresh and fairly inexpensive food, lots of variety for non-veg restaurant, friendly service

Cons: cramped interior

Good food, knowledgable staff!

Headed out to HB for a veg meetup and this place didn't disappoint. The staff was really helpful about telling us what's popular & what's veg. I had a breakfast burrito (yay! another place that serves vegan breakfast all day!!) with tofu & potatos & salsa & all kinds of yummy goodness. My husband tried a lemon-flavored unturkey burrito, he really enjoyed the flavors. Each dish comes w/a small side of chips & really good salsa- lots of flavor and just enough heat.

They also have vegan cookies for $1 each, everyone in our party just had to have one and we almost had a race to snag the very last one in the basket. ;) They have vegan-friendly smoothies that are yummy. The cheese is not vegan, but they reccomend subbing hummus instead.

Pros: Knowledgeable staff, Breakfast all day!, Lots of healthy smoothies

Cons: Small space, Not much parking

freaking great!

the secret spot rocks, yeah its not 100% vegetarian/vegan but it kicks ass. They make almost every dish vegetarian. The review before was right, their smoothies are great. They use all fresh ingredients and make things on the spot. After eating here you will be full for a long time. They also have specials throughout the week. Its a place you definitely should try at least once.....and my guess is, once you do you'll go back many many times.

Pros: great food, great people, great atmosphere

Cons: small dining area inside
