The set up is nice and so are the staff.
Love the waffles! Pricing is fair.
However, we’ve given the Secret Garden 4 or 5 tries and been underwhelmed each time.
The menu is mostly what you’d find at a good omni restaurant with not a lot of innovative options.
I’d love to see some proper vegan home cooked stews in winter and exciting salads in summer
My main gripe is that they’ve always been sold out of most menu choices every time we’ve been in. We’ve always visited on a Saturday so I can only think that they order stock for Monday- Saturday and allow everything to run out by the end of Saturday. This often means pretty slim pickings at Saturday lunchtime. They have never had salad when we’ve been in, which is kind of funny for a veggie place 🤷🏻♀️
A few of the staff are very good (Lucy is amazing), the younger staff are very polite and friendly but a bit forgetful, no cutlery or napkins with our food etc.
With a few improvements it could it amazing

Great lunch at reasonable price - Edit
Went in to grab some lunch before catching a train. The baked potato with hummus, sun-dried tomatoes and olives was very nice, as was the side salad. Also good reviews for the avocado and mushroom panini. Quick service and very affordable, will definitely be back.

Was so pleased to find somewhere to satisfy my sweet tooth in weymouth! I went for the apple pie waffles and they were brilliant, there’s a limited menu on a monday and tuesday but they savoury options look equally delicious. Nice opportunity to eat outside as well

I always pop into The Secret Garden whenever I'm in Weymouth! I personally love their vegan carrot cake and my boyfriend thoroughly enjoys their vegetarian waffle selection! The ladies who work in the cafe are so friendly and accommodating and the pretty courtyard outside is the perfect seating place on sunny days. The Secret Garden is dog-friendly too which is lovely

Last year we found the Secret Garden, and knew we needed to pop by again this time. We were not disappointed.
Read moreI had a fantastic chilli and my partner had an awesome pie. We sat in the lovely garden area, but the inside is also gorgeous and snug, with lots of great veggie and vegan options.
Already looking forward to next year. Hopefully next time we finally arrive early enough to have the waffles!
The people who work there are also wonderful and very friendly.

Had a fantastic lunch here, everything on menu is Vegan or veg. I had the Gabrielle salad, good sized portion with a massive bit of goats cheese, the walnut pierces were a delight. My wife and eldest had the bean burger which was lush and my two youngest had cheesy bean chips along with a milkshake and vegan marshmallows as a bonus. Service was top notch, I can see why this place is so highly rated!

Such a cute/cosy cafe with both indoor & outdoor seating. The menu is varied with both veggie & vegan options (all clearly labelled). I went for the bbq jackfruit panini with a side of poutine and both were amazing!! Can’t fault anything. They also had a great drinks and tea selection. Worth a visit if you’re in the area 😁

Adorable and cosy, this vegan and vegetarian cafe was a welcome retreat from the cold and all the fish and chips shops! I had some delicious soup and my partner had super decadent waffles.

This is a cozy café, with outdoor seating too for the warmer months, in a nice area of the city, on Hope Square. We were there for lunch and had the "Garden Quiche of the Week" and the "Chickpea and Sweetcorn Burger". Both came with potatoes or chips . All were plant based/vegan and tasted surprisingly unusual and special. For example; the burger had a sweetness about it, the quiche was tofu based, and the chips appeared hand-cut. Second visit here…a hidden gem. Has a very friendly family feel. Vegetarian and vegan choices available. The mushroom and leak pie was absolutely delicious, no need for gravy as plenty of sauce inside and pastry melt in your mouth!

Walked 8 miles along the South West Coastal Path looking forward to a breakfast here and the place did not disappoint. Lovely location, with a very relaxing atmosphere in the garden. Very friendly staff and great vegan options on the menu. The tofu scrambled egg was lovely.

All vegan options on the menu were clearly labelled and checked by the waitress. I ordered a panini with hummus, olives and sun-dried tomatoes. It came with a side salad too. Really tasty. There were loads of options on the menu too.

Lovely restaurant with many vegan options and a vegetarian menu, I tried the Quiche which was lovely, chips are great and a nice salad. Website says 25 vegan options. Including cakes. Also caters for Gluten free if you need that.
