Serves meat, vegan options available. Offers some vegetarian options. Open during high season from 6.30pm and cafe is closed during low season. Location is also known as Long Beach.
Staff didnt understand word vegan, but no problem in that. Just orded fried mixed vegetables, but food didnt have any taste at all, and portion size was really small. Felt like it was done with no motivation at all.
We were the only guests in the evening. Had a curry there which I ordered "not spicy"; it arrived and basically was the hottest f... thing I ever ate. Mouth still burns a bit 2 hours later now. The tofu in the dish tasted like it was soaked in fish sauce or fried in fish oil. I got fried veggies as a free replacement dish for the failed curry which were okay, tofu in there tasted fishy too. All in all pretty lackluster, omni bf did not like his food either (and also didnt get what he ordered). Place also seems pretty run down.
great spot at the end of long beach. the waitress was always friendly. the first time we went we arrived 15 before they closed and she was not bothered by it at all. we had no idea they closed at 4pm! the food was always good. they were out of a few things which limited our choices. the waitress was very understanding that we vegan and helped us with what we could get. food was good. the iced coffee with coconut milk is very good. oh, and the little chihuahua that lives there is the cutest.
note: they also offer yoga classes there.
Super chilled out restaurant just off of the south end of Long Beach. I ate here a few times whilst I was in Koh Lanta and my favourite dish was probably the tofu burger. The cashew cheese plate with crudités and a warm flatbread was tasty too and they make great fresh juices. There's also a beach bar which is part of The Sanctuary and they have some well placed deck chairs if you want to chill out or watch the sunset before or after your meal. Oh and the owners have rescued plenty of lovely dogs who'll keep you company if you want!
Mix of Thai favourites (with tofu/cashews) and Western comfort foods (eg veggie and vegan burgers). Can do rice milk and coconut milk for breakfast items. Nice staff and beachside, bar-style setting.
The sign for the restaurant is on the main road near the 7 Eleven (happy cow's map shows it too far north)
Very accommodating for vegans but I suggest you know how to say "no" for ingredients in Thai and clarify that soy is ok. Service was slow, like last review mentions, but we thought the food was great. We were told the tofu burger was vegan and thought it was delish. Thai food options also. Located on beach near Thai House Beach Resort and Sanctuary Yoga.
If you like eating dinner on a noisy playground with slow service, even by island standards, this is your place. The staff's kids ran Around the restaurant screaming, the service was slow and the food was average at best.
