Small salad bar offering a mixture of fresh salads with falafel, halloumi, and freshly baked pita. Most dips and sauces (hummus, coriander and lemon, tahini, chilli sauce) are vegan as are the falafel, pitta, and many of the salads. Some items contain dairy - ask. Small seating area. Uses biodegradable takeaway boxes and disposable wooden cutlery. Open Tue-Sat 10:00-14:00.

Amazing Find in Hay-on-Wye - Edit
Also named Leaf (they offer fancy tea selections upstairs), this is an amazing lil cafe that offers a vegetarian meal of the day (which are easily made vegan). We visited twice during a week in the area, and had a Quesadilla Salad with vegan cheese and a Chickpea Curry, both of which were so delicious, especially on a cold winter day! ❄️

Just what was needed - Edit
We went there on a very cold Friday before Christmas. "I don't bloody fancy salad on a day like this," I grumbled. I nedn't have worried: on the menu was chick pea and potato curry with rice, or pakora. Unfortunately the pakora (broccoli and cauliflower) had run out, but the owner apologised profusely (twice), so we had the curry. And it was just what you needed on a very cold Friday before Christmas.

Really lovely salad boxes, they are all boxed up to order and they happily make them up vegan. They were really friendly and knowledge, food was clearly very fresh.

More than salad - Edit
The venue is tiny, but don't let this put you off. Very healthy, lovely owner/chef. One dish per day which you can find on their Facebook page. Often vegan. Extremely delicious.

Delicious fresh salads, dips, pitta and falafel - Edit
What a happy find! This tiny shop has a lovely selection of freshly made salads, including quinoa radish and edamame, alfalfa/sprouts, carrot/cabbage slaw, green leaves, and cooked green beans with fresh tomatoes. And the dips! The hummus was incredible, the coriander lemon dip was incredibly flavourful and the chilli sauce was a PROPER chilli sauce (fiery!). I asked for all the vegan options - only two of the dips contained dairy (the owner even suggested he could make them vegan in the future by using dairy free yoghurt) and I was offered tahini in their place. The falafels were heated in an air-fryer and were deliciously hot and crunchy. The hot wholewheat pitta was also very good (and filling). My mum and I got takeaway, and I liked the fact that degradable packaging was used (no plastic). An absolute bargain for a fiver considering the quantity of food, quality of packaging and fresh ingredients.
Read moreVegan options not explicitly labelled but there is a big sign next to the till encouraging customers to identify allergies/dietary requirements before ordering.
Pros: Fresh, tasty food., Good value.
Cons: Not all dips are dairy free - yet ;)
