Good food, only sort of vegan friendly - Edit
I appreciate this cute spot for working to have vegan options! But I feel like it’s paying more lip service than attention to what vegans might want to order.
Read moreOn the menu, there was a brunch bowl that had eggs, cheese, and meat that listed a vegetarian or vegan option was possible. I was between that and a salad that could be made vegan by omitting one ingredient, and asked how the brunch bowl was changed. I assumed it would be either JustEgg or Tofu, and I dislike JustEgg, so I wanted to be sure. But their answer was just… to remove the eggs, cheese, and meat from the bowl and charge the same price!
That would leave the bowl essentially being potatoes, salad, and avocado with some salsa. That’s hardly a complete meal and definitely not worth the full price of what was being charged. I mean, come on. Even just replace the egg with the seasoned chickpeas offered in one of the salads if you don’t want to mess with analogs. I don’t mind leaving off cheese or something but this example really left off the whole meal and left you with its sides.
I went with the salad, minus the dairy ingredient. It was pretty good. It was a little overdressed but everything was fresh and had good flavor. Besides those two options, there was also a vegan yogurt parfait, overnight oats or chia pudding, and one pastry. Everything I saw looked or sounded good except the offending bowl but it was very light fare compared to the similarly-priced items for non-vegans/vegetarians.
The coffee was good, the vibe excellent, and it was close to my hotel so I’ll probably go back tomorrow, but I wish they put in just a little more effort. It could be great, but was just ok.

Best vegan food for SLC - Edit
I had a hard time enjoying the food in SLC because it is often heavy and processed. This was the best restaurant by far. Everything was fresh and ingredients were thoughtful and of high quality. Id go here everyday for breakfast if I am back in SLC. Many vegan options that were very good. Espresso was a little too acidic for me

Could be better - Edit
I tried vegan breakfast brunch and it tasted good. But I was left disappointed by how small the portion was. I think for the price they should offer a slightly bigger portion.

New Restaurant Section - Edit
While the coffeeshop and bakery are great, I thought the restaurant was just okay. There were 2 or 3 vegan options and I went with the vegan chorizo dish.

Love love love! - Edit
I went for brunch and they made the silkiest oat milk cappuccino I've had in a long time and the most delicious apple spiced vegan waffles. I'm definitely going back there before I leave SLC. So many delicious vegan options for brunch including pastries and grain bowls. Got the vegan cheesecake to go for later too. Highly recommend!

Cute with options - Edit
It’s nice to find a spot with vegan breakfast options. I really enjoyed the waffles, hearty and not overly sweet. The raspberry muffin was incredible! The breakfast bowl was pretty good. They could use a vegan protein option. Also the service was slow both times we went. Extremely cute indoor and outdoor eating areas. Overall I’d recommend!

Good drinks - Edit
The food was ok, and no grains came with the food. We got the waffle and two brunch bowls. The waffles were dry, and the cream on top was a little sour. The tea and coffee were the best part, and they make their homemade milk which was also really good. The brunch bowl was served cold, which I was not expecting. The flavors were ok. I wish it came with rice or something, considering the price. The servers were friendly and helpful, though.

Get in early before the baked treats are sold out! - Edit
Lot's of vegan options. This coffee/lunch/bakery shop looks and feels fantastic. I loved the aesthetics. Get in early because by 2pm most of the vegan baked options seem to be sold out. I enjoyed the cinnamon-roll. The banana cake was delicious as was the Strawberry Tartine.

Fantastic cafe with a huge selection of Vegan pastries! - Edit
I can’t say enough about this cafe. I ordered the Avocado toast and it was excellent on vegan whole grain bread. The fruit cup was fresh peaches & cantaloupe. I also got an excellent latte made with cashew milk made on sight. My husband enjoyed the vegan morning bowl and both of my daughters liked their cinnamon rolls (also vegan). The cafe also had vegan oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, corn & blueberry bread & even vegan cheesecake. The staff was friendly and the service was quick even on a busy Sunday morning.

Great Options and Service - Edit
I'm grateful for this place. The atmosphere is nice with classic wood, tile, and live plants. Each time I visit, the cashier is excited to share her favorites and and tell you about the vegan options. Saige is the best! The baked items are clearly marked vegan. They have a house made cashew milk that is rich and creamy. I've tried teas, cappuccino, roots sandwich, chickpea sandwich, and just about all the vegan baked items. I have yet to be disappointed. My favorite order is a cappuccino with cashew milk and a vegan cinnamon roll.

Cauliflower sandwich super yummy - Edit
So yummy this sandwich! Cauliflower was cold. I was expecting a hot sandwich. But the pesto was SO flavorful. And cauliflower was a good amount of spicy. The minestrone soup was mostly broth and lacking enough veggies in my serving.
