Really good vegan food - Edit
Just tried the veganuary menu. They now use curious vegan . Locally produced meat alternatives and the katsu chicken curry is really good. The beetroot soup good . A starter of hash brown and crumbled tofu with kala namak well thought out . Overall good tasty vegan food
Read more7 of us went to the Rose and Crown for a new years meal. Everyone thought the food was excellent. There was one non vegan with us and they also enjoyed the food . The arrancini balls were excellent as was the gnocchi, the tofu fish and chips. The vegan desert was a nice rich parfait with raspberry sorbet and honeycomb. Very well done . Update. Now doing a really good vivera vegan burger with cheese and mayo, corona update : limited menu at moment but Tuesday and Saturday and some Thursdays they do vegan pizzas with decent cheese and toppings for 7.50. They gluten free as well .

Nice food and drinks in a cute pub - Edit
The Rose & Crown was a really cute pub with nice drink selections and friendly staff. There were limited vegan options on the menu so we tried all options. They were nice but not mind-blowing. They were lacking flavour and the starter portions were quite small.

Impressive and well thought out! - Edit
Wow, myself, my vegan mum and veggie dad were SO impressed with the vegan and vegetarian offerings from the Rose & Crown.
Read moreThere were about 3 vegan starter options (with more veggie), 3 vegan main options (with more veggie), and then 2 vegan dessert options (with more veggie).
I highly recommend the to-fish and chips with the vg tartare sauce! It’s a really thoughtful addition to the menu and a super generous portion. The chips are also fantastic!
My mum opted for the chickpea roast with lyonnaise potatoes and gravy, and asked for extra seasonal veg, and that was also very well thought out and flavourful. My dad had the vegetarian roast and said it was the best he’d had in Northampton!
If you’ve got room for dessert after the giant portions, make sure you try the vg chocolate honeycomb parfait!
It’s on the pricier side, but it was worth every penny. Definitely book in advance as we were lucky to squeeze in, and the pub was busy for our entire visit.
Wish I could leave 5* but unfortunately this option is only available to fully vegan/veggie restaurants.
