Called to ask about the dining options, first thing she said was that.. River's Vedge isn't open any more.

Awesome, Fresh Vegan Food in Alton - Edit

River's Vedge is a small, independently owned vegan restaurant in downtown Alton that opened in the spring of 2021. It is located in the back of the Jacoby Arts Center, and the owner said she also sells at the weekend farmer's market. Menu includes a variety of salads, wraps, bowls and rotating specials. We tried the BBQ tofu wrap, "Chicken" Cesar Wrap, Buddha Bowl, and Let the Sunshine Salad. All ingredients were fresh and delicious. There are limited vegan options in Alton, so this is your best bet if you are in the area.

Pros: Delicious, Fresh ingredients, Reasonable prices

Cons: Limited hours (may expand in the future)

Great new vegan place! - Edit

I tried this new eating spot the day they opened. I had the Chelsey sandwich for lunch and the build your own salad for dinner. Everything was super fresh and very delicious. I’m still thinking about the ranch dressing days later. So amazing. The blueberry cookies were incredible!!!
