The pub can’t handle the amount of custom

I went in at half 2 on a busy Sunday after prebooking a table. We asked at the bar what the Sunday vegan option was to be told “erm im not sure maybe vegan sausage?” But then it was clarified I could have anything on the vegan menu in the Sunday deal. I had the cottage pie. It took around half an hour to come at which point we were starving. One positive it was delicious and piping hot. It came in a dish with vegetables on the side. The filling of the pie was lentil based and was really nice. One downside is I feel like if you’re not a regular in this place you get looked at like you’re an alien. One disgruntled regular was less than happy that we were sitting at the table we reserved when she likes sitting there, slightly awkward. The place is busy with few staff who are rushed off their feet. They either need to cut down how many people come for dinner service or up the amount of staff there at peak time.

Cons: Too busy - long waits, Lack of knowledge around vegan food

I think if you could see it was busy half an hour isn't long to wait at all especially if the food is delicious like you said.

But there’s a difference between being busy, which is expected for a Sunday, to biting off more than you can chew in terms of customers being booked in and having only a few staff members waiting tables. They know what the demand is beforehand there should be enough staff to accommodate that in my opinion.
