Decent place for lunch

Was pleased we had booked a table for lunch as it was very busy. Staff were very pleasant as was the cafe itself. I had the Mexican flatbread which was nice enough & very filling. Two of our group had the quinoa salad which looked lovely. The cakes looked delicious but none of us had room. Next time

Pros: Vegan gluten free options, Nice surroundings

Needs more options

For a fully veggie place, this place needs to up its game in vegan choices. It’s also on the pricey side - we went for tomato soup, £7.50 and a small quinoa salad, £8.50 - both pleasant but nothing special. Staff were lovely and we had a window seat with nice views. Better vegan options in meat serving cafes…. Sad face.

Nice place, decent vegan options

It was quiet when we arrived for a light lunch. It's not a pretentious place but very clean and we were greeted by a pleasant young man on duty at the bar, taking orders and then serving the food. Our drinks and food arrived fairly promptly and the food was good. The place then became very busy - it seems to be popular - and the server and one chef looked a bit overwhelmed and were having to apologise in advance for possible delays of 20-30 minutes. What a shame as another pair of hands would have made a big difference, but I do get that it must be difficult to guess in advance how many customers may turn up!

Pros: Decent vegan options, Homemade soup, Brilliant vegan parkin!

Cons: Lunch menu a bit limited

Thank you for your great review. We're pleased you chose us for all your meat-free lunch needs in Hebden😄You're absolutely spot on about not being able to predict the number of customers we have in at once we have been open now for almost a year and there really isn't a pattern during the week. If you pop in again hopefully we will be in a position to give you our full attention. Thank you for taking the time to review us, I have passed on your feedback to our vegan baker who is responsible for the excellent parkin! Hopefully see you soon

Absolutely brilliant !!

At very short notice, the restaurant owners and staff pulled out all the stops to provide a lovely venue, vegan meal for over thirty friends and cake for my daughter's 40th birthday party. They could not be faulted in any way and, as all the food was eaten, we assume the omnivores were as satisfied with their spread as were the vegetarians and vegans. For a friendly ambiance, great food, reasonable prices and attentive staff - I recommend this restaurant to anyone eating in Hebden Bridge.

Pros: Wonderful vegan food, Friendliest, unobtrusive, capable staff, Reasonable price -important in Yorkshire!

Cons: nothing
